Went in the public bar at around 3pm on a Sunday and had a couple of beers. Wasn't busy with less than half a dozen patrons. Was a nice atmosphere and would visit again.

Excellent beer brewed on-premise, absolutely superb food, great prices and genuine wonderful staff. Doesn't get any better.

Although the waitresses were nice and called you 'sir" they had no idea. Waited 20 minutes before I requested a menu in a completely empty resturant. Ordered a glass of wine that turned out to be vinegar and rather than say anything I left. When I checked my bill the next day, I had been charged $24 for that glass (the bill said it was a 500ml glass of Pinot Noir) let me tell you the glass was not half a litre. So got vinegar instead of wine and was way overcharged. Crap service as I was completely ignored, the micro brews werent available and overcharged. The only acceptable thing was the steak which was quite decent.

After just recently moving back to Brisbane, I decided to check out the International Hotel again for old times' sake. A few mates and I visited last Wednesday, and despite being packed out because it was Trivia night, the staff were still all on the ball. The Hotel has definitely stepped it up A LOT since I was last there. Their food was full of flavour and their portions very generous. The on site craft microbrewery has fantastic brews too! Had a beer tasting paddle and for $12 got to try all of their tasty new brews. Was very hard to choose a favourite as they are all just bursting with intense flavour. We even got to meet the brewer, Jason, which made for an interesting night out. This guy clearly knows his stuff! A big thanks to all of the staff at the Hotel for making our night enjoyable. Look forward to many more visits in the near future!
