Situated in a side street of rather safe and boring Upper North Shore suburb of Pymble, this sweet little bar has all the ingredients of a great night out. Intimate, but not too small, friendly hosts and attentive staff, a great selection of wines and cocktails. The menu is contemporary and delicious and not overly expensive. Two thumbs up :
Absolutely shocking in service! Joined a few friends who had dinner Food was good there for a few drinks. Firstly, staff was very quick to take my order - Tick. Secondly, asked for water, asked again and by the third time final got a glass - thumbs down. Third - ordered a second glass of wine. Was enjoying the evening when I reached for my glass to realize it wasn't there!!!! What made it worse was that I hadn't finished it! - complete fail. We could see that it was near closing time a little over 30 minutes left and just got the feel the staff wanted us to leave. Dont' get me wrong, if it was busy and etc I would be more understanding, but there was one table left and all I saw was the staff standing around the bar chatting. Lastly, to top it off, woke up with the worse headache only after a glass and a half since I wasn't allowed to finish my drink which only tells me that they sell cheap wine. Was really looking forward to trying out a local place but I would definitely not be recommending nor suggesting it for any further social gatherings. Cellar 8 really needs to review their staff and their skills. Until I hear otherwise another friend went 2 weeks after me and also found the service absolutely shocking!, I will be taking my business elsewhere even if I have to travel!
Nice little hideaway. Top wine list ... Worth a visit for sure.
What a lovely place. The owners were fantastic and involved in helping us decide on the best dish. Make sure you have the garlic bread. Great atmosphere highly recommend.
Friendly staff and a nice feel, good place for a drink and relax after work or a light or full meal. Easy walk to the station at Pymble but great also if you are a local. Not a bad location near Robert Pymble park, some outdoor seating which is nice in summer
The cafe that runs in the morning is superb! Great staff, lovely vibe, and the coffee is the best part! Definitely worth a visit.
