The school is alright, but the time it takes for leadership to organise things is horrendous. As a member of the St Mary's SRC, I haven't heard anything about it being organised and we're already in week 5 as of writing. Our online system is displaying different dates for tasks depending on what page I'm on, which can make it realy confusing when trying to schedule all my work in. The school does have some good qualities, but severely lacks in others.
They blocked YouTube they really blocked YouTube and everything and the teachers were just horrible and weren’t prepared to deal with students needs I barely ever learnt anything.
This school is lit the St Kevin's of Bendigo. People love coming to class high. Half the guy teachers love the little children. Overall don't send your kids there. At least that's what my mates say. Never Been Here
This school is atrocious and the education is limited just like their teachers. The teachers are limited to seeing whats the real problem with the school and with their education. Their prices for the clothing and other stuff like the sports uniform is quite expensive for a school that doesn`t even provide good education . The blazer and the regular uniform feel uncomfortable and is also expensive. The blazer is absolutely useless because you only have to wear it when you come inside and when its the end of the day. Plus no one really sees the blazers because we are or most of us are on buses. If you are new to Australia and have not got a visa you have to pay more than is expected .
As a current student from the Coolock Campus not revealing my identity, the internet at this location is atrocious, they block YouTube, your own email services such as Gmail. means you can't use Gmail, Yahoo etc. Only Outlook as that is what the school uses. They probably lock all the other email services so they can monitor every single email that you receive and send which I believe is an invasion of privacy. They block YouTube because they believe we're using it irresponsibly. However, I've needed it multiple times to watch videos to do with English, Science etc. But I hadn't been able to. I've had to resort to my phone's hotspot to get work done. Also, removing potato cakes, literally the most loved food by this school, gone. They are beyond strict with uniforms, hassling you for literally forgetting to do a button. I'm so close to being done with this school, If the above continues to occur, I will be moving to a different institution. Also **** you Miss Lewis.
wifi, THE WIFI IS TERRIBLE, LITERALLY EVERYTHING IS BLOCKED, as far as i can tell the school uses an outside company for controlling which websites are blocked, and that company used key words and terms to block website, the use the word game for blocking mass amounts of websites, but in return this blocks websites that were actually useful like chess websites that the chess club uses. they didnt block youtube BUT they limited the speed on the website to the point of it not loading any icons for the videos on it, its easier to count the amount of websites that aren't blocked than the ones that are. here a great one, Gmail is blocked as well, why i dont know, ask the school they think they know what they are doing
Didn't enjoy my time there. Teachers weren't organised and were very considerate of students needs. Hard to learn when students won't stop disrupting and ruining your education. Just generally didn't like attending school there and just never wanted to go. So glad I made the right decision after 4 months at CCB to move to BSE. so in other words, it is not the best choice you could make for schooling in Bendigo
If I were to document my experience here, let's just say if idiots could fly this place would be an airport.
ye its pretty fun having a 20 minute break would recommend
