I am usually not a big fan of sushi but this was awesome. It was my first time going to a restaurant with a sushi train. Everything looked so delicious! They charge by the plate so you basically just grab whatever you like the look of off the train and eat it. They the bill gets totalled up at the end by the number and colour of plates you ate. I was actually surprised at the cost. It wasn't the cheapest around but it definitely wasn't expensive. I felt it was money well spent for the freshness and quality of the sushi. Plus I had so much fun! I ate alot tofu sushi and some karaage chicken. The chicken was to die for! Highly recommend that! And the tofu is a great alternative for those with dietary needs like vegetarian or vegan. There were also other options i noticed; avocado sushi, deep fried tofu and beans. The restaurant is also family friendly. Kids love the sushi train! I saw quite a number of kids and even a new born in the restaurant. The staff are very accommodating and gave fantastic service. They also had a bathroom which was very clean and free lemon water. If you are wanting to park really close, try find a spot on Allen Street. It seems like all the parking in the city is paid. But it only cost us $5 for an hour. Vegetarian options: There were avocado sushi and tofu sushi and deep fried tofu and beans. Plenty of vegetarian options. Kid-friendliness: Kids love the sushi train. I saw quite a number of kids and even a new born in the restaurant. Parking: Quite difficult to find a place to park. Although there looks like many carparks there are so many people in the city that they are all full. Everywhere is also paid parking. Wheelchair accessibility: There is accessibly parking close by but you have to pay for it. We paid $5 for an hour. The restaurant itself is not wheelchair accessible.
Fabulous to be able to quickly eat as soon as you sit down. Fish was lovely and fresh and lots of variety to pick from on the sushi train.Food: 5/5
The train was quite fast making it hard to select things meaning a few mistakes were made nothing is labeled so it was hard to no what was what unless it was obvious of course. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Fresh sushi was being made as we ate which was cool to see but unfortunately didn't enjoy the sushi as I normally have
Good sushi and the comes past you quite quickly, so the options are fast-paced. You can ask for anything that might not be on the belt at the time, so that's also good. The seating is fixed down, and isn't comfortable for everyone. I thought it was good for a quick bite.Food: 4/5
Best sushi we've had in awhile. Fresh, tasty and huge selection. Service was great and not badly priced for the quantity per plate. Look forward to eating here again
Worst sushi train in NZ. Not fresh seafood, too much sushi rice and it is iced. The avocado became dark and deep fried food is not crispy. I will give zero star for the kitchen but the two stars are for the waitresses, she was kind and helpful.
Owned and operated by Chinese but a very good place to have sushi train. It is actually better than most of the sushi trains in Japan. Price is on the upper end so please prepare to bring lots of money!
I am generally not a fan of sushi, but the Catch Sushi Bar in Courtney Place, Wellington, makes it fun. It provides a wide variety of food offerings travelling past you on a circular conveyor. You chose catch what you want and then pay at the end. The food itself was well prepared and tasty. The plates the food come on are coloured to indicate the price of the particular dish, so you can manage the costs yourself as you go. I would go again.
Never a bad time at a Kaitenzushi resteraunt and the selection here on a Saturday evening was fantastic, lots of great choices from tuna tataki to chicken nuggets, from beef to beans, it's all there. My #1 tip, don't get greedy and grab all the good food on the first pass as they are always loading new things, take a plate, enjoy it, and something better or more interesting has probably been added.
The food is amazing and full. But the dessert too sweet. The price is from $3 to $8.5. It very surprised they have oysters.
