Story

Catarama is set in tranquil gardens and has been providing a unique cat only holiday destination for over 30 years. Family owned and run. We have a deep love of all animals and a genuine understanding of providing a relaxing holiday atmosphere for your cat.
We offer a range of accommodation to suit most budgets. All cats receive love and cuddles of reassurance.

We have been leaving our cats at Catarama for seven years; often for stays greater than a month at a time. When Jock (the previous owner) sold the business we had concerns about who would take over. Any worries or concerns we had soon disappeared. Brian and Kim are lovely people, always friendly and polite and always happy to see our cat Merlin. I know they adore looking after the cats in their care and they do a fabulous job.

Our cats enjoyed a 5-night stay at Catarama. The service was excellent and the facilities were adequate. At an affordable price, we are quite happy to leave our fur babies in their care!

BEWARE!!! **Looks can be deceiving ** Place looks great upon arrival, however the Owner Brian is the most rude and arrogant man I have ever met. He has a "Bad Luck" attitude when what you requested is not available and will not tell you that until you arrive. I was not prepared to leave my cat in the hands of this man, nor in the box he provided for 2 weeks. Previous Owners were great these guys, need to sell up to someone who is going to love and care for your cat. It is all about the $$$$ with these guys. Do not leave your babies there!!!

I'd like to respond to comments made by Katrina Richards (a month ago). My partner and I arrived with our boy, Rascal, at Catarama 4 days ago to leave him in Brian and Kim's care whilst we went on holidays. The Catarama website looked great and Aikey Fair seemed to be the perfect option for Rascal but this did not stop me feeling extremely anxious about what was ahead for him. We were greeted by Brian who immediately put me at ease. Brian allowed us, as a family, to go to Rascal's enclosure and watch him check out his surroundings. I was crying on arrival then sobbing from pure relief.... Aikey Fair looked perfect! My next surprise was when Brian confidently but gently picked up Rascal to say 'Hi' and start the bonding process. Rascal hates people (and other cats) but he looked so comfortable in Brian's arms that I knew everything would be fine. I liked Brian's 'matter of fact' attitude. He did not come across as abrupt or money hungry. He had a job to do and understands how hard it is for people to leave their fur babies behind. I also need to mention that before we even got to Catarama there was a hiccough. A minor car accident just as we left home meant drop off time for Rascal was going to be late. Brian had no issues accommodating this... thank you. I will post a review after Rascal has completed his stay at Catarama but first impressions so far are excellent.
