Excellent food in the restaurant. The best prawn pasta I’ve had in absolutely ages for a really respectable price. Our other dishes were superb as well, bread and scallop starters   Service was really good too - the food arrived quickly and nothing disappointed.  Friday 13 January 2023

What a great local and easy going pub! Friendly and welcoming service with good value for money food selections. The fish stew was a hot favourite at the table and my steak was done just medium rare, the way I ordered it! We will be back again soon!

Simple effective bar service at 7pm sunday. Brisket Burger and chips was great. Hot crispy chips like one rarely finds. 32.50 for a beer and burger. Nice quite venue space out the back. Lovely.

As a decades long resident of Balmain, the Cat has been my local for years. Last night after dropping in to get a takeaway bottle of wine, I experienced the rudest bartender & manager I've ever come across. Will not be back and will never recommend again.
