Such a lovely shop, I bought chamoy and tajin from this shop. To be honest, it was my first time visited Spanish/Mexican grocery shop, and I was so excited to visit this shop, since there are lots of things I’ve never seen anywhere else before including some unique Mexican potato chips, I was interested to try those but I have to change my mind coz the price was a bit too dear anyway they have lots of fresh Spanish/Mexican pastries and sweets too, might come back to try their pastries in the near future.
My, I'm lucky that i kept to my budget, Because one can get in serious trouble here. They give you a taste of everything, and then you're in trouble. I bought 4 kgs of fresh chorizo to take back home, and also a $50 mini jamon on a stand. All well worth it. Good luck and may temptation not send you broke!.
Friendly staff and big selection of pantry items. No actual deli though. For example the cheese and chorizo is in the fridge, unlike the Casa Iberica shop on Johnson St which is in actually deli.
The only place in Melbourne I have found that sells bacalhau so we don't have to stock up when we are in Sydney. Plus the other European food selection is great. The fact that you can buy plantains is awesome. Great for Europeans who want a taste of home but can't find ingredients elsewhere.
I highly recommend visiting this place for Spanish and Mexican products, particularly the cheese section and sausages. You can also find authentic tortillas there.
Fantastic source for Spanish and Latin American ingredients, snacks, and cheeses. Went in to pick up some guajillo peppers and left with so much more. The purveyors were also very friendly and helpful.
Great selection of foodstuffs and some cookery tools. Super friendly staff. Love their queso fresco for arepas and gorditas. I have not found this number of Latin American & Spanish groceries anywhere else in Melbourne.
Best place for Latin American food ingredients in all of Melbourne. Every time I go I end up with a couple bags full of food. Staff is lovely and they speak Spanish. Don't miss out on the hot empanadas. Some things that can be found here that are hard to come buy: - Fresh Mexican chorizo / longaniza - Oaxaca cheese - Tomatillos / Tomates verdes - Proper hot Salsas - Maiz pozolero / Hominy - Nopales - Maquina para tortillas / Tortilla Press - Cazuelas / Clay pots
If you look for latin products ,this is your place to go . You'll be at least 30 to 40 minutes inside the shop so much to see
I am so dissapointed. The store advertises misleading information about the opening hours on Fridays. After all my efforts to be at store in time, they close the store by 6:30pm just when I arrived. They supposed to close at 7 on Fridays.
