Great bar offering a wide range of craft beer from local and not so local breweries. Wines and cocktails are also available. Sit in or takeaway from the bottle shop. Plenty of seating both indoors and outside. Good food offering. Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.
Went to the bottle shop and bought some wine. Oh. Nothing unusual about that. But then I saw tables and chairs…. And then explored. Three areas, plus an on-street area- with slightly different vibe to each. The bar is extremely well stocks. With great service, amazing wine and a beer list that seems extensive I’m not a beer drinker. There is a solid food menu as well. Knowledgeable staff and a great venue that has totally surprised me. The wine I ordered, chosen by the bar staff, was $13 and stunning. Will absolutely return.
A magnificent beer establishment, for either beering in, or takeaway. There are over 24 beers on tap, with a wide range of styles for all palettes. If you are unsure what is your style, and or want advice, have a chat to Matt. His knowledgeis exceptional.nnWhat if my other half doesn't like beer I hear you say. Well, there are cocktails, spirits and wine as well.nIf you're looking for take aways, there is a drool inducing range to choose from. I can not rate this place highly enough. I'll be back!
Such a great local bar/battleshop.nOver 20 amazing craft beers on tap, cool cocktails and super interesting wines. Meals are excellent, just a cool Thornbury local.nAlways great bottle shop specials check the website
I've been coming here over the last 14 years or so. I first visited when it was a standout bottleshop, a definite go to, if I was in the area. Currently hosting a small kitchen, a fully fledged bar, with about 20 beers on tap, and many options for seating, Carwyn is always a winning destination.nnStaff are all to happy to oblige in a friendly chat, and the place is still run very well, after all these years, and changes. A great destination for a beer focused bottle shop.
