Very distinctive historical building. Here you can admire the gardens, hike in the mountains, and visit historic buildings tickets sold separately. It's popular on weekends, but parking is free so you can drive there without worrying about parking.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
A beautiful spot to come visit on a sunny day. Spent two hours here with my 3yr old and 1yr old. We went on the story book trail which my oldest loved but the trail isn't very pram friendly but I did manage to push the pram up, down hills and stairs. Then we rested and had a wonderful picnic on one of the many lawns. Both kids had a great time exploring and enjoying the gardens. Then to finish it off we had baby cinos at the cafe.
A good place for a picnic. Plenty of parking available. The cafe was closed when we visited for a private event. A good place for a walk and scenic views of adelaide in the distance. If you are looking to visit a mansion it is $17 for an adult. Kids under the age of 15 can visit for free.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
I recently visited Carrick Hill and it was such a delightful experience. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the house itself is stunning. It was so interesting to learn about the history of the property and the family who lived there. The staff were also incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The highlight for me, though, was the sense of relaxation I felt while wandering around the gardens. It's such a peaceful and serene place, with plenty of spots to sit and take in the views. I particularly enjoyed the rose garden, which was in full bloom when I visited. Overall, Carrick Hill is definitely worth a visit. It's a nice place to spend a few hours or a whole day, depending on how much time you have. I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated - something that's hard to come by in today's busy world. Highly recommended!
I'm a wedding photographer and let me tell you, it's a stunning place! With its rich history and beautiful architecture inside and out, if vintage and classic vibe are your thing like me, then you'll definitely dig this place! From lush gardens to old-school fountains and small corners full of charm, there's no shortage of cool spots! The team are super friendly and accommodating too! I'm 100% confident to say that Carrick Hill is a pretty solid choice for any soon to be married couple looking for a unique, historic spot to 'Say yes' :
Beautiful place, full of life and the views are amazing. Lots of families and spots for small picnics. Children were definitely into it with the story book trail and cute and perfect details put in.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait

A grand mansion/museum/garden, built and maintained with passion. Went there twice in a month. In July the house museum was closed for annual maintenance. Returned today and toured inside. Cafe was also great. Well worth visiting for a few hours.
A very wonderfully maintained garden in the hills of Adelaide. I went there while I was in Adelaide for and the place is picturesque and a wonder to the eye. Looking over the small humble city that Adelaide is on a warm sunny day may be one of my go to get aways in the coming future. Would recommend for people of all ages. There was no need to wait, even for parking. It was strange to see a place this beautiful be so quiet. Maybe it might be because the site is quite far from the Adelaide CBD.
What an amazing place to visit in Adelaide. You can walk around the scenic views. Most of the people come here for private events and picnics. Free onsite parking and cafe too. I’m not recommending the cafe due to high prices and poor hospitality.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
