We visited the promenade walkway along the Fascine and enjoyed walks here during a recent stay in Carnarvon. Evening stroll after dinner was very quiet, only a couple other people out.nnDuring a morning walk, a few more enjoying the walkway and calm, nice waters. On the whole, it is a nice and fair waterfront, good bit of leisure and green space near the town centre.
I'm not really sure why this is listed as a tourist attraction. I'd say it's a nice spot for a picnic if you lived nearby.
Beautifully manicured lawns with great walkways along the Fascine. You can walk your dog on leash and has water fountains for dogs and us. There are several memorials and history notes around the area as well. Beautiful place to check out.
Delightful foreshore development with a nice walk over the bridge through the mangroves. A couple of coffee shops. Call into the Port Hotel for some rustic charm.
Amazing fascine. Had heard mixed reviews about Carnarvon but it is a stunning little town and the fascine is awesome, great coffee from the many coffee shops down the main street. If we are ever back here we will definitely come back to Carnarvon.
