The gardens are beautiful with a beautiful fountain. There are also many tall trees and flat lawns in the garden. Sitting in the shade and reading a book can kill the whole day. People often come here to take wedding photos, so you are likely to witness other people's love when you come here.
Beautiful historical garden near the Royal Exhibition Building and the Melbourne Museum. It's a nice place to walk your dog. I've also seen newly wed couples taking photos in the garden. Good for a casual walk.
It's a must see spot in Melbourne. Directly in front of the Exhibition Hall. This Garden is ideal for a stroll, a walk, to unwind, and have a good, quiet and nature filled time with your family or loved ones. You definitely wanna visit the fountains!!
Beautiful well-maintained gardens with lush green grass and shady trees. Dedicated play area for children. Ample walkways for walkers, joggers, bikers, and doggos. Crisscross pathways throughout the garden accommodate plenty of people while giving enough privacy at the same time. Lots of seats for resting and hanging out with friends and family. Great for picnics and family outings! At one end of the garden is the famous Melbourne museum and adjacent to it is the Royal Exhibition Building. Well-connected by trams in all directions which makes it easy for people of all ages to visit the garden. You will also find old churches, chapels, heritage buildings and town houses across the street from the garden. Must visit when in Melbourne.
Very nice park near the city area.. you can come here for a walk or a picnic and you will have a great time.. the Royal Exhibition Building is nearby so you can visit that as well when you are at the garden.. don't miss it.. :
Definitely worth a visit to Carlton Gardens whether you are a local or a tourist. It's such a beautiful space which is home to the Melbourne Museum, the IMAX, Royal Exhibition Hall, ponds, gardens, a playground, tennis and basketball courts, as well as lots of lovely walking trails. It's perfect for family gatherings and picnics, a bit of culture and history at the museum or just a good run around at the kids playground. I enjoy the fact that there are lots of walking paths which are suitable to take a pram on and do big loops of the gardens. Playground: There is a really cool playground here suitable for 2-10 year olds Picnic area: Lots of grass areas around and shady trees, perfect for picnics.
Went to the Melbourne Flower and Garden show. Heaps of food trucks and lots of other stalls. The Royal Exhibition Building was amazing! Parking can be an issue as the parking at the Museum was very limited and Melbourne isn't very car friendly any more.
Carlton gardens is one of my favorite gardens! There are a lot of trees, flowers, some fountains and pond. Very Beautiful place. When it's good weather, you could take a nice photos especially in front of a fountain. Perfect for a picnic, walking, relaxing etc. It's walkable from the city, but you can catch a tram and bus as well.
Lovely gardens with nice open areas for food trucks and easy places to sit and enjoy. Went during the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show so the place was bustling and the walking paths were spacious and there is plenty to do.
A beautiful grand old building situated right next to the museum and surrounded by lovely green space as well as common areas. Easily accessible by tram and a must see for visitors to Melbourne.
