Story

Carlos Cantina is an independent Mexican restaurant.
We are not one of those run-of-the-mill franchise outlets nor are we one of those pretentious celebrity chef restaurants with hefty prices to match.
The people behind Carlos Cantina are simply a bunch of Mexican food lovers who are passionate about serving freshly prepared value for money Mexican tucker to our guests. We love what we do and we hope it shows in our food and service.

At the west end of Boronia Village you will find Carlos Cantina Mexican restaurant. It was my first visit and I wasn't disappointed. The meals were good and decent sized portions. On the menu you will find exactly what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant. I got to try the Classic Nachos, Seafood Enchilada, Beef Combinacion and the Churros with chocolate sauce and ice cream. Very satisfied with the meal as I was  with the Sangria as well. The staff served with a smile and the service was quick although the restaurant was close to full. Worth a meal and repeat visit. I also recommend it for a family outing.

- convenient location and Plenty of car parking spaces.. - excellent staff.. very humble, smiling and welcoming.. - the Mexican food is really delicious - best to visit either on Monday or Tuesday when they have special deals going.. recommend booking in advance as they are always crazy busy.. - you get the colourful hat if it’s your birthday.. - the staff also helps with the cake and the related birthday celebration.. that was good to see when we were there..  - one less star: for having to keep following up with the staff for the cutlery.. our food was served and we were just waiting on the cutlery..

We were craving Mexican so we had a search around to see if there were any local spots nearby and came across here!  We ordered for 2, and overordered:  Taco Loco shrimp, chicken, chilli con canne Enchilada Grande chicken, beef Quesadilla Supreme chicken  Chocolate Taco Mango Madness mango with strawberry liquer Cheese sauce secret menu item   Everything was in such generous servings for a great hearty meal and the staff were super friendly The chocolate taco was a highlight!! Literally a brownie sandwich that was deliciousss would go back for more Definitely ask for the cheese sauce - they make it in-house and it is delicious, packed with so much flavour!! They also have an extensive magherita menu and deals as well where you can get a sombrero!!  At the time we went, they also offer 30% off on Mondays and Tuesdays so defs book ahead if you can as they can get quite busy!

First time ever coming here Gotta admit it's pretty good Nice and tasty not dry at all And the margaritas are a must order ! The experience is worth every single cent. The food’s great, the drinks are amazing and we love the hats you get with the fishbowl margaritas. I have a whole collection at home. Very speedy service and the staff always have great attitude and smiling. Special mention to Saahan hope I’m spelling their name right,the manager because he really knows what he is doing and at this point is a friend of ours. We go back every second week or so and you should too, you will not regret it.

Randomly pick a Mexican place by following the reviews and this a great pick ! Food will take awhile to get to you but it’s very filling and worth to share. A main can feed 2 people ;

Best Mexican restaurant in the area. Loved all the dishes we tried, friendly staff and good atmosphere overall.

Delicious food. Quite noisy but I think this is a good sign that it's a well-loved eating place, that especially seems to welcome big groups. I'd definitely eat there again. We were there for our anniversary, so hubby thought it could've been quieter, but as I'd gone with a big group recently, and loved it so much, I had to return. You can easily tune out the others and just focus on each other.

We had our Christmas party for 20 people last night and it was a great night. Food came out really quickly. Excellent value for money. The food, drinks and especially the service was excellent, we couldn't have asked for anything more Would definitely recommend!!!

Food was very tasty and good sized servings. Friendly staff. We went at 5:30 and ordered so food came out quickly. It was on a Monday 40% off special and restaurant was quite busy by the time we left. Lots of seats inside so it did feel a bit tight banging chairs into the table behind us but it wasn’t an issue.
