Couldn’t be happier with my new SawStop jobsite pro table saw & accessories I’m sure there will be lots more to come. The guys down at Carbatec Stepney were extremely friendly and helpful, from my first visit with the kids to pick up a few accessories I was greeted straight away by Cameron & Dom and then Sam looked after us while deciding what works best, to the visit a few days later to purchase my new table saw as my Makita MLT100 just wasn’t cutting the mustard. Noel was extremely helpful and made the decision to grab the SawStop and Incra 1000HD right there and then along with some other goodies. Everything is working perfect and is of excellent quality and a pleasure to work with. I’ve already smashed out a few cool projects. See you down there next time soon !
They sell a lot more then Carbatec electric tools too. So much more then expected
I went there today to buy some waterstones for sharpenning knives and tools. Cameron not only gave me sound product advice based on my situation and needs, but also gave an excellent tutorial on their correct use and care. Well done - an exceptional customer experience that greatly exceeded my expections!! Rob
Nice range of equipment, prices are a little on the dear side. After finally getting served I ordered a bandsaw accessory of which the sales person had no clue and had to be corrected twice on which one to order, paid in full and waited only to be given with no surprise the wrong item. What was actually annoying was the total lack of concern, no sorry ,nothing from the guy who sits in the back office to the right. Basic manners and customer acknowledgement would go a long way, won't be back unless I'm desperate.
Great range etc, but I went in looking to get started in a hobby and explained I am on a budget and that the kits were more than I wanted to spend, I then got reccomended individual tools to get which totalled more than the kit. Great store if you are an established woodworker, or for wood blanks great range I'd check out online starter sets from other retailers for wood carving if you don't want to feel priced out of a new hobby.
Amazing shop and brilliant customer service! We were served by Cameron who helped explain and give demonstrations on how to get into woodworking. He took his time and showed us a variety of equipment and methods, as well as how to look after the tools we were purchasing. Overall we were extremely happy and can't wait to come back.
Awesome woodworking tools and service. Friendly and good attitude.
I was looking for an accessory to help foster a hobby, but had no idea what I was looking for. I logged into the messenger service that was available through your website to see if I could log a query - I wasn't sure what to expect, but within hours I had a response and a practical answer to my query which was far better than I ever imagined. The good news didn't stop there, the team behind the scenes kept in touch with me and told me when a shipment was leaving Brisbane for Adelaide as it was out of stock. Today I went in to my local Adelaide store for the first time and I was greeted with such exceptional customer service and Dominic took the time to show me around the whole store and explain many of the different items in stock, even though I already had what I needed. It was so inspiring and I relished the whole experience. I'm excited to visit again and again! A huge thank you to the team and the management for the ethos you've created in the workplace and the woodworking community.
Always very friendly and willing to offer assistance and impart knowledge. It is also apparent that there are a blend of skill sets in the shop and these should be shared and used wherever possible. For example if a particular matter is being researched and another person in the shop is more knowledgeable then reference should be made to that person. I make this comment to be constructive and does not reflect on my very good experiences. The staff have provided honest and valuable advice. They are genuinely interested in what I am doing as an individual with very little background in woodworking skills. I like to feel comfortable coming in to browse and consider what I might do in the future without the feeling I have to buy something every time I am there. I think this is extremely important for the customers experience. Where time permits, staff time talking through possibilities is valued and will result in sales in the long term without doubt. Whenever staff can inform and relay stories/experiences that are relevant to the individual's needs and aspirations there will be great outcomes for Carbatec.
If you enjoy woodworking or plan to start, this is a shop that will draw you back again and again. Knowledgable staff provide good advice on their impressive range of machines and tools.
