Best mussels served here with refreshing sweet Wairau Riesling! Great service, lovely staff and oh the wonderful chocolate and strawberry mousse for dessert! Thank you all for a fantastic dining experience after a spectacular Pelorus Sound Mail trip on the Mail Boat.
Beautiful fresh, tasty mussels to die for. And fantastic chowder , full of flavour and most importantly, heaps of seafood - not fillers like others do. Beautiful setting too - could gang out in the outdoor area all day
Would've given them more stars if they let my friend with a mullet see the menu. Butt
Had a really lovely meal at the Captains Daughter on New Year's eve with 6 friends. We all enjoyed the food and the service was great. Good variety on the menu and a great wine and drinks list. Highly recommend this restaurant/cafe.
Staff were lovely, came on a busy day unfortunately the food I ordered wasn't great. The chowder was more like a pumpkin soup floating with raw potatoes and carrots. While having hot and cold spots throughout. A real shame as its a lovely place.
Very disappointing service and meal. I ordered the scampi and salad and paid $43 for the meal. They didn’t even bother to clean the scampi and I had to get rid of the poop shoots myself. Definitely will not be back
Really enjoyed our experience. Lovely food, great location, nice vibe out on the patio with cruisey music, overlooking the sea. Nice staff, meals served promptly.
