This place was amazing, very clean rooms and they held back the restaurant hours so we could have dinner. Just perfect.
Husband and I stayed here for a night on our way back to Port Douglas, we were so pleasantly surprised at the lovely large comfortable room overlooking the pool area, to top it off we ate dinner at the bistro and were so happy with the food and service, a good simple choice of dishes and very attentive staff and manager. I had the crumbed chicken with vegetables while Egon had steak and salad fresh and crisp. Everything was cooked to perfection. It made our day. Thank you Capricorn Motel and Bistro. It was worth driving a bit out of town.

I stayed here a few weeks ago. I got a beer from the restaurant and I had a mouthful and near vomited. The beer was off. The manager refused to change it for another one. All he could say that it's not his fault. Then I asked for my money back and said I'd already drank a couple of mouthfuls, so only gave me $6 back. It cost me $9.nNobody in this place has any experience in the hotel motel business. Just a bunch of no hopers and so rude.nStay clear of this place
Good location if you're heading north. There are plenty of food options only a short drive. They have a bistro on site that is open for a short time in the evening. It didn't work in with my schedule, but the menu looked good.nThe room was very clean and looked out over the pool area.nThe bed was firm and comfortable.nThere was some noise from the highway, but not enough to wake me up. I could hear the neighbouring room quite clearly at times. I got woken up in the morning by cars leaving.nThe man at reception was very friendly and welcoming.nThe shower was good with constant hot water.
