Last night we saw ' The Book of Mormon' at the Capitol Theatre. Great old theatre and amazing production, well worth seeing.nnStaff at the theatre were amazing, with every interaction being extremely positive.nnI have seen comments about the seating and theatre, however have absolutely no complaints. The seats were comfortable, acoustics were great and the view of the stage and production was great.
Fantastic theatre. It has been wonderfully restored and maintained over the years! It truly makes for a unique experience in contrast to other contemporary theatres in Sydney.nnThe location is conveniently located outside a light rail stop and a 4 minute walk from Central Station.nnThe stalls foyer becomes cramped during pre and post show as well as interval. I’d suggest taking your seat 30 mins before the performance starts as doors open to avoid the chaos.
One of the best theatres! Staff was super friendly and the seats were alright. Wish there was a cup holder tho :'.nnPaid about $90pp for our seats and it was aight. Left view was a bit blocked because of a tall person but ay thats the fun thing about watching theatre, you dont know who you'll have in front of you.nnFood and drinks were marked up like crazy.
Great show in the classic old theatre . Saw Book of Mormon. It's a comedy parody about Mormon missionaries in Uganda. The only thing with the Capital theatre is the seats are tiny. You really need the intermission to stand up and stretch.
The Capitol Theatre is a beautiful old venue — atmospheric, full of character, and with great ambience. A quick practical tip: ladies, make sure you’re first to the bathroom at intermission. Drinks were very reasonably priced, which was a pleasant surprise.nnWe saw The Book of Mormon and it was exactly what I expected from the South Park team: a little blue, totally irreverent, and brilliant at lampooning hypocrisy and nonsense. I had tears running down my cheeks with laughter. Definitely not for the religious or easily offended, but absolutely superb if you know what you're in for.nn5 stars for both the theatre and the show.
