Came at around 1 pm on a Saturday. Donna helped me look for books and was very helpful. It really felt like she has a love for literature and is very communicative. Wonderful experience, would recommend.
One of my favourite places to go, staff are always helpful and friendly. I look forward to seeing what new things they have on the shelves and the various Author talks planned. I would be lost without this Library.
They recently updated the the book borrowing to self service and return looking really good Enterance has a whole new look with the upgrade. wondering what it will be like in a few years. Go regularly twice monthly for Chit Chat for Seniors usually have to go through the little court yard to the art space. Sometimes meet friends inside who regularly use the free computers inside towards the back.
Saturday story time was amazing, very welcoming and great how the awesome staff included everyone. My granddaughter had the best time and is looking forward to the next one. Well done
What a wonderful experience I had at this fantastic library today! Highlighted by exemplary customer service provided to me by jo in downloading and printing documents that i required. jo was patient, persevering, and ever understanding. I have found all the librarians here to be of a similar excellent standard! This library is a joy to behold with it's innovative displays, presentations, children's workshops as well as unlimited reading, cultural and educational resources available to all ages.
I needed to scan my library card as identification when I arrived at the library. staying at Capalaba Library for 45 minutes whilst I used the computer to print out some course notes and hunted for a fictional book to borrow. I copied the notes I needed, and as the book I was after was already out I ordered it to borrow when it is returned. The staff were friendly and cheerfully happy to answer my questions. I am still not fussed on the way the books have been reclassified, as I have several favorite authors who write their books under a variety of different genres, yet their books used to be under the one classification of fiction.
Have loved this library for years, great for little kids of you hate reading them the same stories over and over, I love recipe magazines and books on health and travel guides. Even get games for the Xbox and PS One. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Love the new check out system, ,it's so easy.
Staff are always friendly and happy to help you find what you want. They have great programs for children also
If you're looking to study here, this library is by far the worst place to do so. There's only 4 study tables...two of them were perhaps made for giants. I'm 6ft 1 and when seated on the chairs they provide, the table comes up to my chest. I haven't seen any giants come into this library so I don't know why they've put them there. It's absurd. Children are always yelling screaming and crying. It's just a miserable place. Staff seem nice if you need anything. Not their fault the library has such poor facilities and atmosphere. The wifi has a lot of issues and barely works.
Great variety of books for any age. Love that you can place a hold online and get in and out quickly and efficiently.
