Located next to MAMA Museum this cafe offers an awesome atmosphere sitting under leafy canopy with the fantastic view of MAMA lush green lawn with its art piece. The staffs are very polite and helpful. No complain on the food too, it was good I ordered from breakfast menu, 2 eggs toast with bacon. Love the black coffee that came with hot water so we can choose how 'thick' the coffee would be. There are 3 modern and clean toilets on the premise.
Lovely local eatery with good options for vegan and gluten free. The vegan pizza is delicious and the GF base is really good also. Check the menu online as it changes seasonally. You’ll find all the locals in here!
Genuine, friendly staff, a menu to suit any palate, and a warm atmosphere. The food was very reasonably priced when you consider that something half as good would cost twice as much in a capital city. The lamb ribs were exceptional, and the vegan pizza was very flavoursome. You can tell it's all made fresh in-house, and the serving sizes are just right. Would definitely come back next time we're in town. Vegetarian options: Vegan options were limited but top quality. Several meals could likely be mildly tweaked to at least be vegetarian.
We loved our experience of dining at Canvas. As visitors to Albury, we were impressed with the standard of the food and the top quality service at a very reasonable price. The lamb ribs were amazing, A delicious sauce and tasty, tender meat. We loved the friendly welcome and the polite, helpful staff. We would love to visit again!
Cocktails aren't worth the price, you'd expect them to do more for $20. Food tasted okay but later made both of us sick. Staff could use training. Most staff under age which is good they're working and I appreciate that, zero issues there however, makes it difficult to talk about drinks when they tell you they're young and won't get help from others to assist with the order. Place is lovely though.
We had a delicious lunch on the lovely terrace. Great menu and wine list. We were travelling through so had our 2 border collies with us and were able to sit them next to us on the terrace. It was a very busy Saturday lunchtime but we were served in good time. We will be back.
We had breakfast this morning- lovely atmosphere and staff were helpful. A warning though for people- we ordered eggs Benedict and asked if we could change out hash browns for toast. This small change cost us a whopping $18 dollars which seems excessive for 4 slices of bread. My husband ordered salmon with his eggs Benedict but didn’t get it- the waitress did offer to get some but would have meant pulling the whole dish apart. A nice place but the huge cost of the toast put on the bill at the end ruined the experience!
Very pleasant Sunday evening enjoying 2 for 1 cocktail hour. We sat outside undercover, the musician added to the ambiance. Highly recommend the pizza. Young wait staff pleasant and sought answers from head staff when unsure. Lovely to wind down after a busy weekend. Thankyou.
Staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. I have to mention the environment: we ate under the beautiful grapevine; so cool and easy to converse without fighting with the noise of other guests. We definitely will be back. Parking: We got a part in Dean Street without an issue.
We had such a wonderful lunch at Canvas last Friday. The staff were very attentive and super friendly and they, along with the food of course, made our lunch such a pleasure. We look forward to our next luncheon experience at Canvas. Wheelchair accessibility: The waitstaff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortably seated. That was very kind of them and made our outing even more pleasurable. Dietary restrictions: My mum is coeliac and was delighted to find gluten free options on the menu and even more delighted when the waitstaff said the salad could be altered to suit her dietary needs.
