Canteen Cafe

Just found this place on one of my early walks. Their open officially at 6.30, however they are usually open a bit before then, serving coffees and a few breakfast items.this place is great for my morning coffee fix before I head off to work. The coffee is beautiful, I feel like its the best coffee I've had all year. The food is also good, I love the mushrooms on toast. So far, I've tried a few of their breakfasts and they were a good size and it was yum. In the morning before 7, the food u get is a limited option which makes sense. Hopefully I am able to come here for lunch next week cos the burgers on the burger menu sounds really good!

The place looks amazing, unfortunately I found the quiche I had very underwhelming with pastry that wasn't fluffy and bland eggy flavour with processed meat It was hard to tell wether it was bacon or ham. Cold drink selection was also very limited. For the prices there i kinda expect their $6 quiche to be equal or better than a run off the mill cheap corner bakery one which it definately was not.

When I first visit this canteen I thought that I have no choice but to order something because theres none much cafe around to order food. But I was really really wrong. I find the B.L.T. fresh. Coffee is really nice. The place is airy. It was worth the try to dine in and have morning tea, lunch, and afternoon smoko.Food: 5/5

Great quality food - the calamari salad is outstanding. Always a steady stream of customers going through. Service might seem non-personal to first time customers. The guy serving is a bit shy so don't take it to heart. Well worth your time to seek this understated gem.

I usually go to this place for my chocolate or blueberry muffin fix, and of course coffee. If you fancy a more hearty brunch they do offer steak and chips in the morning. A bus stop is in front of the place so if you're not in a rush to take the morning commute, drop by this place for a quick bite. Parking: Parking is shared with other establishments so it is quite limited.

Hash Browns, bacon, avocado and Eggs are the best. Oh let's throw in chocolate peanut butter shake. Perfect.

I ordered 2x egg bene, share with my 1 yo son, delicious, and my son enjoy it too, he can eats that fine even he only got two teeth

The experience is always excellent. Great coffee, delicious food, and really friendly service. Today we had a private catered event for 20 people and it was wonderful. HIGHLY recommended!

Great first impression. I work nearby and have definitely found a new spot. I had a delicious lunch here. As another reviewer said, it’s better than what it looks from the outside. I will definitely bring my family around.
