We were happy with the design and the planning approvals by Cameron's staff. However we now feel stuck as they own the rights to the plans and when it came to quoting, they would not provide an itemised quote. They would not send us the contract to review in advance before meeting to take us through it. And we are now finding it very difficult to get agreement between the bank and the builder on the payment stages. The builder says they won't adjust to meet the bank's request, even through the bank was willing to adjust their usual practice on how much is paid early in the build stage. The latest frustration is that when the master builder is away on holidays, no one else has financial authority to decide on whether to adjust the terms. So, in summary, although their work seems to be well regarded and their project management in particular was rated highly by previous customers I spoke with, the overall experience is one of very little transparency about costs which makes it hard for us to trust that we're receiving fair value. I recommend making an agreement up front that you will own the licence to the plans - pay extra if needed. That way you remain free to choose a builder.

Could rant about how bad this 'company' is for hours. 1 star is too high. Save yourself the headaches and look elsewhere - bloody hell I wish we had of!

Our beautiful home has just had a double storey extension added by Cameron Construction. They managed the whole project for us, from the initial plans through to construction and during the entire process they were wonderful. I have recommended Cameron Construction to all our friends and family and will definitely use them again.

Just wanted to take the time to thank Michael and all the team at Cameron Construction for all their effort in transforming our existing home in Hawthorn. We are pleased to report that the extension was finished ahead of schedule and the final result is amazing.

Good Quality of Work. Love the renovation of bathrooms and WIRs which were done by Cameron Construction... Overall, it's a good experience.
