Really liked that it had subway adjoined to it and car wash, dog wash, vacumn, laundromat and shower and toilet. Great facilities for locals and travellers like us.
UPDATED:nnI usually go there to get my fuel but this week was a very special week. Indeed, it was on a Wednesday and it also happened to be the final week for the excise tax rebate to expire and thus for the 4th tax to be put back on. I had one transaction too many but thanks to a very capable and lateral thinking employee named Rich. He sorted out the transactions in a manner which didn't occur to me as I was thinking linearly at the time but I digress. I got the best deal and best saving to date. Thanks to Rich! Almost as good as the Blenheim Road service station. Read my other review pertaining to the aforementioned.nnRich, unfortunately has left us for bigger pasture and evidently a greener one also since he has gone to a less polluted area than Timaru. Hopefully, he will be back! But, we have Rob, an helpful, intelligent and more importantly generous man. Let's not forget about him, a supervisor who actually helped me to clean my car and even participated in the cost of cleaning during my last visit to Caltex King Street Timaru. That's a first!nnUnfortunately, the last two weeks, specifically, the Wednesday the 11th of September 2024, were dreadful- The person that served me, on that hectic day, came back on her words and was unhelpful, inexperienced and uncaring. I had no other alternative to downgrade their rating thereof. I hope that Rob and the usual experienced staff return soon...
Reasonably priced coffee and variety of take away food.nSubway is also within the complex here in addition to toilet facilities and parking available.nService staff seemed somewhat overwhelmed with 3 of us ordering coffees!
The worst customer service we had ever experienced. The CSR was on her phone and I asked for cash out for car wash and asked to give coins. The way she was making faces and talking to me and my partner really pissed us off. I’d rather go somewhere else from next time where csr aren’t rude like this.
Depending on which staff are on depends on the service you get. Some of the staff don’t like refilling your 9 kg bottle especially in winter and will ignore you and try and look busy until one of the other staff serve you.. particularly the girl with tattoos on her face who isn’t really pleasant at all. Other staff are more polite and willing to help.
