We’ve been to MIIC with our little one 3 times now. And the care we received was amazing. From the moment we walked in, nurses in triage, admin ladies, security, nurses and doctors were all very kind and incredibly responsive, understanding the stress we felt as parents. They treated us with so much compassion and patience.nLovely nurses went out of their way to make our baby comfortable. The doctors were thorough and explained everything clearly and took the time to answer every question we had and safety netted us so well.nWhat really stood out was the team's empathy, they treated us like family, not just another case. We left feeling well cared for and supported. We are so thankful for the quality of care we received, it truly made all the difference. So grateful to this health service and their wonderful and caring staff.
I am deeply disappointed with our experience at the Caloundra Minor Injury Clinic. After contacting 13Health and being advised by the nurse to have our 5-month-old seen within 4 hours due to coughing, vomiting, and severe sleep issues, we headed to the clinic with urgency.nnUpon arrival, we were triaged, but our priority seemed to be set extremely low. Despite waiting for 2.5 hours, our position in the queue hardly improved; in fact, it appeared we were moving backward as more patients arrived. This left us feeling helpless and frustrated, especially given the nurse’s initial recommendation to seek care promptly.nnHow long is it acceptable to wait for a 5-month-old baby when health advice specifies urgent attention within a 4-hour window? It was disheartening to see no accountability or clear communication from the clinic staff. The nurses didn’t provide updates or suggest alternative solutions, such as seeing our GP, despite the risks of sitting in a waiting room full of other sick patients.nnAs concerned parents trying to follow medical advice, we felt let down by a system that failed to prioritise and guide us. This experience showed a lack of compassion and foresight, with no consideration for vulnerable patients.
A big thank you to the nurses and doctor who looked at me on 20th of November. From the moment I walked in & until the moment I was taken to hospital by ambulance the care that I was received was outstanding and I’m so grateful for.nnThank you for all for your hard work and kindness!
A big thank you to the team at the minor injury clinic. The atmosphere was lovely and not forgetting the staff I was very grateful for your patience and caring nature. The wait was only two hours which I found reasonable considering the place was packed. Again a big thumbs up to the team keep up the great work. Lola
The public healthcare system is a fraud. I’ve had to take my girl to the Caloundra healthcare service every night this week for a change of dressing over a sist that she had and they cut open.nEach night we are met by older disrespectful women who have been nothing but rude to us because it’s an hour before closing.. That’s still 1 entire hour to get a simple dressing done. Absolute sham that we are forced to have to do this each night and yet we are met with complete disregard and disrespect..nCan’t wait to blow this joint up virally and create my own hospitals some day. PUBLIC HEALTH IS A SHAM
