Such a great vibe at this hostel! The manager is super friendly and always ready to help with whatever you need. It honestly feels like a little family here—everyone’s really chill and welcoming. And the best part? Harper: an adorable dog running around, which just makes everything even better. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxed, friendly place to stay!
GoodnSo close to the beach. About 7mins by walk.nSo close with Kmart and Coles. And there is Wolworth nearby too.nHave own cabinet in my room. It was so good when I leave my room.nWashers and dryers are paid by phone. And both are about 6$.nAble to park on the road in front of hostel. But not always so enough.n A/C is so enough. Even in hot days, it was okay. Not so cold at night too.nnBad:nKitchen is so dirty. There are so many flies in the kitchen and table is so dirty too.nA phone app is used to open own room. But it's not work well.nThere is a timer switch in bathroom. Maybe 10mins timer. So lights off while taking a shower.nVending machine is paid by cash only. I couldn't use it.
Scam of a place. Do yourself a favour and dodge this bullet. I booked through a website, no worries. In the morning I get a confirmation text, which including a line saying I needed to bring a passport. Bit late since I was already up there.nnHowever at check in, they cancelled my booking because I didn't have a passport. Ok, fine, just refund me and I'll go elsewhere. They said sure thing, will do. 6 days later no refund, but he'll get back to me about it ...nnAlso lots of rubbish piled up in the carpark, place looked filthy anyway.
I had a great stay at Cali Backpackers ! The hostel is clean, comfortable, and has a really friendly atmosphere. The manager is very kind and always ready to help with anything you need. I would definitely recommend this place to other travelers
My girlfriend and I stayed for a week in a room with four other men. We paid more than we would for an apartment in central Sydney. It's a hostel that accommodates a lot of people, with a kitchen table and four chairs. No one showed up to clean it for a week. All six people worked in farming or construction. You can imagine how dirty it was. There was no space to put food in the refrigerator, and I had to keep it in my room. None of those photos are accurate. Not recommended.
