We came here for a meal. Our porterhouse steaks were pretty good and the chips were nice too but nothing to rave about. This place certainly isn't fancy and hasn't been refurbished in a long time. But sitting next to the big fireplace was nice.
A very standard motel, fitted with modern shower and small basin. Bed was comfortable but pillows were flat and unpleasant. Located in a good spot walking distance to the main street and a little further to the water.
Food Parma and Curry and staff were amazing! Really pleased with meals. I would just say decor could use an update and it was a bit chilly in the dining area.
Sandy and I have a long history of visiting this warm, inviting and friendly establishment. On frigid winter nights the fires are always cranked and the staff are always rosy cheeked. This visit did not disappoint and nor did the fresh pints of dark ale and well-cooked fare from the kitchen. Bring back the Stump Rump!
We ate at the Caledonian two nights in a row. Both times the meals were excellent, as was the customer service. Classic country pub with a fantastic menu.
Disappointed with the lamb shank and we could have done with another log on the fire but they were doing well to manage 2 sittings, and the place was definitely cleaned between sittings disinfectant was a little strong
Good tasting pub food, but when we got it it was lukewarm at best. Dining room could do with some work, and the fire was blowing ash onto everyone seated nearby. Not a bad place, but not exactly riveting
Amazing staff, cosy vibes with a fireplace. Huge and delicious meals, great selection of beers. And the oldest pub in state!! Special shoutout for the Mexican parmi which was packed to the rafters. Surely worth a visit
