We moved into Calamvale from the Redlands almost 2 years ago and haven’t looked back. We’ve been shopping for fruit and vegetables with Calamvale Discount Fruit Barn ever since we settled into the area.nnThe staff on the counters are always friendly towards us and the men packing the shelves often say hello.nnWell over a year ago I needed brown bananas and couldn’t find any. So I politely asked one of the male staff if they had any brown bananas out the back. The gentleman I spoke with was kind and gave me brown banana’s for free. Was so grateful that I made cake for the staff and delivered it the next day.nnI like to bake banana cakes and cupcakes from scratch for family and close friends when special occasions arise.nnWe appreciate your store. Thank you for helping out average families and God Bless.
Cleanliness in this shop is awful, i have seen in two occasions the man stacking the fruit having both hands busy sneeze all over the fruit on the sidewalk. it does not cost much to wear a mask when you handle fruit. with that hygiene attitude I can not imagine what else he does with those hands!
Last 2 times I have been there the female cashier person has been absolutely foul. Her attitude towards customers is disgusting. If you don't want to be there then maybe don't work in a role where you communicate with every customer walking through that store.
As a nearby resident, I come to this store to buy vegetables and fruits once or twice a week. Recently, I found that the clerk made a very high error rate in the checkout, and my family and I were overcharged twice in a week. The shop assistants click on the names of vegetables at the checkout very casually, when you buy a lot of varieties can really miss the price of each one, I don't check every time, but when I do check it is wrong! I have to double-check my purchases every time, which makes my shopping experience not very good.
The cashier in this store has a very bad attitude. He is often reluctant to ask for change and often makes mistakes in calculating the price. In short, I don’t recommend it. It‘s too bad.
