Before going to this school, rethink about what happens when you're looking away. Don't ever send your kids here. Ever. The racism? That's a whole different story. Teachers are unhelpful and never stick to their word. "Write a speech everyone!" and then the next week after we write one, they say it's a presentation. All this does is put more stress on our kids. You're crazy if you send your kids to this school. Racism - I was on call with my daughter and telling her I'd be late to pick her up in our native language, till a group of kids would say, "Speak english,' and the fact I heard it over a call is ridiculous. You want to teach your kids about morals or manners? Then don't send them here. The only thing that they'll learn is how to act like MONKEYS. My daughter came home upset because of the insane workload they put on her. Setting over 5 tasks for kids to do in 2 days is crazy. Don't send them here. Edit: Mr Whittaker was mentioned in my sister's call. I'm hoping that no other kids have experienced pure stress from that exact teacher. - A concerned parent's words My sister's daughter's story
Princess Sophie Hilton is the best teacher at Cairns State High School. Because she's fun, very intelligent and extremely beautiful. Has really nice sunglasses as well. Really good at giving advice. She's a math queen and says for me to quit math specialist since I did bad. So Princess Sophie Hilton is the best teacher in the whole entire world and she deserves a raise! 10/10 teacher.
Ms Hilton is the best teacher in the school world. She is good at teaching and is a funny teacher. She is very intelligent in numeracy and social skills.

Disabled lady got bus today from city aswell as other adults due to Cairns state high school boys not offering their seat . Not a good look for school or family of these boys that they didn't even consider offering their seat and were quit comfortable being in their phones and chatting
I went to this school for 72 months, 25 days, 6 hours and 42 minutes. In the 12th grade, Mr Whittaker was a complete and overall distraction. He lowered his pants and dog spread his cheeks all over the science room table. I didn't trust his for a while after that. Not very niche of him 1/5.
STOP! If you are considering this school the. Please read this review first. Here are some good and bad things about cairns high from a former student. I’ll start of positive by saying most of the teachers are kind and try their best to make sure everybody understands and the school is supportive if you are having trouble. But, the students do not behave and are a massive distraction, I used to be a student who would never break the rules or backchat to the teacher but this school really changes you, all of the sudden I started threatening the teachers, throwing things, getting into fights and it even made me threaten my own family. I knew what I did and tried ending my life. There are so many temptations like taking drugs, skipping class, stealing and destroying everything. If you want your kid to stay sane and not become a train wreck. Don’t go to this school, it is not the school it was in 2018. It is NOT a safe place because fights happen almost 24/7. I am very happy I have moved. Please don’t make the same mistake I did and take friends advice on this school. It has changed a lot ever since it became public.
Mr Whittaker was the worst teacher everyone doesn't like him gives detentions way too easily and gives buddy classes easy and yells way too much and like i said no one likes him Edit: Mr Whittaker and I are now friends or at least mutual which makes this review 2 star instead of 1 star. But I still have problems with this school and but I'm still a student at this point so what I say is may be valued depends on you. My problem with the toilets, teachers like to feel free and go into the STUDENT toilets and not to the separate teacher toilets and most of the people that talk about it, they say it makes them feel uncomfortable and I think this problem needs to get sorted out. i don't care if someone is vaping that is effecting them and not me at least they give me privacy. Edit: just had me Whitaker is my class and it was a good time. Edged the whole time
