Great place to get to know the local flora. There are some interesting foliage that were used by the First people for various reasons. The conservatory has lots of colorful orchids, many kinds of ferns and pitcher plants, among many others. There is a public restroom and the gardens are wheelchair accessible.
What a beautiful place. It has something for everyone. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Cairns. So many wonderful flora and fauna. The butterfly sanctuary is great. Take a picnic or go for a nice walk. Just make sure you hydrate because it's very humid.
Not the biggest, probably not the best botanic gardens. But, it is the best we have here in North Queensland and I absolutely love spending time here. One of the best places if seeking solitude from your busy work schedules. Oh and a great place for some macro photography.
Beautiful place to look around.. has a real rainforest feel.. 2 cafes to choose from.. the gardens are huge so need a few hours to see them all
Worth taking the family. Remember to bring bug spray and water. We got to see quiet a lot of wild life.
One of the most incredible botanical gardens ive ever seen!!! The butterfly house is the highlight of the trip, the cafe isn't bad either!

Such a beautiful garden full of native plants! Comes with a lovely little cafe. I regularly use the Red Arrow which is the perfect little morning exercise!
