Story

Café Y Inc, is a café with a conscience.
Born in 2014, when a bunch of youth workers put their collective brains together, and realised coffee was the answer!
So, Café Y was created, and our motto became “we don’t employ young people to make coffee… we make coffee to employ young people”.
As a social enterprise we are focused on bringing change to young people’s lives through our training café.
Every meal you eat at Café Y directly impacts young people’s lives as 100% of the profit goes into training more young people in hospitality.

Well this is my not-so-secret hidey hole but just have to share how much I love their correct serving of fresh cool water, then coffee & scones. It’s fresh air and sunshine, and that’s just from the staff. A privilege to have these folks as our local cafe.
A fantastic project supporting Young People to learn new skills and survive difficult times. Great coffee and good food in a pleasant atmosphere. Keep up the excellent work everyone at Project Youth.
