Decent buffet especially with Double Dining. Although there isn’t as much choice as to the types of food available e.g. compared with Harvest Buffet at The Star, the high quality of the food made the entire experience very enjoyable - felt assured that no matter what I got, it would be of good quality; instead of having to dig through the buffet to find what is actually good. Service was great!
Went there for Sunday brunch. Very average buffet. Noisy environment. Not much food choices. For seafood items, shrimps, oysters, crabs, mussels and smoked salmon that were available. The crab was fresh but tasteless. Oysters were tiny. No provision of mignonette sauce. Just wedges of lemon. Shrimps were good but nothing special. Sushi not very appetizing. For the hot dishes, roast beef was cooked well. Pork belly was tasteless. Fish and curry chicken were overcooked. Baked oysters and chips sucks. Pumpkin soup was ok but ordinary. Desserts became the only highlight of the dining experience. Very disappointing.
The service was great although the food was very bland. Every thing we tried including the hot food, the salads and the desserts did not taste fresh. We paid $99 each for the deluxe land to sea buffet although left feeling like we wasted our money. The seafood was average but the other dishes were very disappointing.
My wife and I had a truly memorable dining experience at Cafe Opera. We went on a Sunday evening for the seafood buffet which was amazing value at $99 for two people! All you could eat, bugs prawns, oysters, muscles, smoked salmon all very fresh. We were blown away by the quality of all the other meat and vegetable dishes too. The selection of wines while not exhaustive was perfectly suitable for our needs. We would certainly be back in a flash if we were in Sydney again!
My brother, sister-in-law and I had an evening to remember at the Cafe Opera.Whilst i don’t eat seafood, my family members love it.There are plenty of dishes to choose from, apart from the seafood. The desserts are to die for! My favourite is the refreshing sorbet, apparently a different flavour every month. The ambience is welcoming and friendly and the cafe, being quite cosy was well organised and not crowded. Very good value and an enjoyable evening’s dining.
We went on Tuesday. It is an ok place. Oysters were small but tasty. Crabs were small & dry, they really tasted strange. Salmon tasted great. Macrons & lobsters were missing. Very limited menu. All in all it was ok experience.
really disappointed for the food. few selections, taste not really good, price not really reasonable. dessert is not really good. but service is ok.
The wife and I had our wedding anniversary dinner on Australia Day We had the sea food buffet It was excellent Prawns crab oysters roast beef ham and so much more The staff are friendly
Nice place, good food. Wish thay had softdrinks included in the dulex buffet, that would be great. Seafood was nice and fresh.
Group of 6 ppl, but seated at a table for 4, uneven surface, spoke with them, and been told it’s a very busy night, while 2nd photo shows how busy they were, food worth half of the price we paid, lack of attendance, overall, I can not say it is a deluxe seafood buffet
