Paid $16 for a poorly presented plate of Calamari and chips. This is something I would expect from a kids meal item, not a Mains food item. My boyfriend was also served a burger dripping with hot oil. Not coming again. Would not recommend any main menu items, unfortunately. Drinks were okay- but for some reason had a hint of banana in my Ice Chocolate?
Can't even cook eggs sunny side up. Don't put too much garlic in the mushrooms. In every Cafe I've ever eaten in FRIED EGGS ALWAYS COME SUNNY SIDE UP!! Will not be coming back to your Cafe. And not recommending it to anyone else.
I really like the food and quieter atmosphere in this cafe and have come here for several years. The new trainee waitress who took my order today was lovely, very pleasant and thorough. However, another waitress who brought me my food has thick long hair hanging down and forward of her face. Not only is it hanging over the food she carries she also constantly touches it with both hands. I’ve complained about her lack of hygiene previously but obviously management don’t care.
Delicious Breakfast Burger plus bacon, and the tomato relish was sensational! Very good iced coffee too. It was the first time I had been there. I would return if I was in the area again. Well done.
Went there today for the first time and ordered the sea food platter and I was very disappointed. The fish was just the frozen type that we buy from the supermarket and there were only about 12 chips on the plate. If I wanted to eat frozen fish I could have stayed at home and made it myself. They are better of taking fish completly of the menu. When I eat out I expect fresh food not frozen. Well that will be the last time that I eat there. It completely ruined my day.
The staff are very rude. Went there a couple of days ago and encountered an extremely unprofessional waitress name starts with an 'E' and ends in a 'Y'. The food is decently priced, though can be a bit overcooked/dried out at times. I've been here about 3 times. The first time I thought staff lacked manners. Even small things like saying "thank you" or "have a nice day" when receiving payment would've been good. It left a sour taste in my mouth. I decided to give them a second chance, and the second experience was much better. This last encounter though was the final straw. The waitress brushed us aside when we entered, made us wait about a half hour before taking our order and even that was after we enquired WTH was going on. The girl writing down our order actually looked p**d off that we were ordering food. Most of the positive reviews on FB seem to have been done by friends/family of the staff, so not very helpful. Never going here again! Would warn you to stay away.
Had a bite to eat on the 2/12/16 at 5.00pm and was absolutely disgusted when I noticed a staff member asleep on one of the benches in the cafe. I asked the staff if she was a manager and they said no , she had been at work since 8.30 am and was sick. Omg having staff in the cafe when they are sick, believe me I felt sick when I left. Definitely would not go back there again.
Iced chocolate was good quality and good value, however I ordered scrambled eggs that cost me $10.50 for a peice of toast with some egg slapped on top. The food was ok but the value was horrific.
Food is overpriced and not very fresh
Went to go in for breakfast and as we walked in I got accosted by a waitress who told me that I couldn't take my pram in as I would be blocking an exit. This is despite going to a seat where there was no one else that I would be blocking in, and that there was many walkways around the seating as only three other tables were occupied. They offered a high chair to which I accepted but was then told I couldn't have one as it would also block the exit. I asked where I could sit and they offered me a table where I would block the path to the kitchen. Thanks but no thank you
