Covid safe cafe in Heide Park next to the museum. All vaccination certificates carefully checked. Coffee excellent as was the service. Wait staff were attentive and friendly. The calamari was perfectly cooked and presented on a bed of mask topped by rocket. Fish of the day was served with rice and fresh salad. Chicken burger served with chips shared with the fish eaters. Dog and child friendly. Atmosphere great with lots of ventilation.
When we walked in, the place was only 10%full around 9:45, the manager said there is only one table available which was right under the sun. I assumed that may be soon it will get crowded but we were there for 45 min and not many people showed up, I didn't understand why he couldn't offer us something under the umbrella but the food and rest of the service was good. I saw later the place got busy after 11. Apart from the unnecessary sunbath I got, Cafe is good.
Nice and warm decoration with a modern sense. Friendly staff. Desserts are quite good and fresh. I love art, love the museum and love the park anyway also love the cafe.. :
We went here after viewing the sculptures at the park. Very nice atmosphere and their food are very fresh, especially the salad options that literally comes straight from their backyard garden. The waygu burger we ordered was so worth it, but the coffee is pretty mid, typical australian coffee.
Made Our Day Cassie, John, and I would like to express our gratitude for making Dylan's birthday party such a success. Working with you was a joy from the start. Your availability and willingness to provide excellent service were outstanding. Everyone was blown away by the presentation, food, and service, and you were, without a doubt, brilliant. Everyone has praised your professional leadership and ability to gracefully handle every situation in the room. We appreciate you going above and beyond and creating a memory that will be remembered for a long time in our family history. Love your work Cassie Yvonne and John Kid-friendliness: Absolutely Kid Friendly. Children get restless and having the availability of the park for them to run around is simply fabulous Parking: The location added to the success of the party. The park is beautiful and gives the guests options of walking through the park and admiring the sculptures, and simply perfect for smokers Wheelchair accessibility: Our venue was the Sidney Myer Room in the park. The wheelchair access was perfect
Nice place to wind down after long walk around the landscaped gardens and the museum for a cup of tea or coffee with some nice treats on the side. Services are equally pleasant and friendly. It can get very busy on the weekend.
Nice little cafe. Love the ambiance. They have a good range of food and drinks to choose from. Tasty food. Friendly staff. Loved the yuzu tea. It is a must try.
Lovely location esp with good weather. Has indoor and outdoor undercover seating. Had a takeaway coffee which was pretty good but the sit in coffee wasn’t as good. Depends on who makes it. We didn’t have a meal only a croissant which was just alright. It’s a really nice place for a celebration and a destination meal I think. Elegant and well lit. Probably pricey but overall a good experience. Would recommend.
The museum got 5 stars from us but the same could not be said of the cafe. Started with a 40 minute wait for a table followed by another 70-80 minute wait for food to come after our order. We prompted the wait staff twice and were promised the food was on its way several times. This is not fine dining and a chicken schnitzel was the most complicated dish we ordered. Its such a shame because the food is actually pretty good. Any enjoyment was snuffed out by a hungry two year old crying and a few adults feeling depleted as well. This could have been a wonderful experience. Very disappointing because ive heard great things about Cafe Heidi.
Had a lovely food experience. Crazy busy place and parking is a nightmare however we could not fault the food. The pork belly looked like a piece of art and was perfectly cooked. They also had a very tasty saffron curry.
