This Royal Queens breakfast was the best presented breakfast we’ve ever had! Big call yes I know! But have a look at these photos! The salmon carefully wrapped as a rose, the balsamic artfully dressed with feta and pretty flowers across the bernaise sauce, the perfect accompaniment of roasted cherry tomatoes. The eggs and spinach were cooked to perfection and resting on fresh smashed avocado and gourmet toast. We went to the kitchen and congratulated the chef. He was very proud of his work. And so he should be.
I've been a regular at cafe Brunelli for over 3 years. Every year, things have gone from bad to worse. I've always wanted to leave a review, but I know what Covid did to the industry, so I didn't want to make things worse, however, last Wednesday changed my mind. Service - rude staff, often addressing you as "honey" or "sweetheart". My apologies, do we know each other? Kitchen - Slow, often cooking one meal at a time so we almost never ate together. Most times there's only three of us. Atmosphere - Dirty, especially outside. A couple of years ago it was clean and tidy. These days you'll be lucky not to step over someone else's napkins. Luckily the birds are picking up all of the food from the ground. Last Wednesday I've visited with friends of ours, who've never been at Brunelli before and came as I insisted. What am embarrassment... 4 adults, 3 kids, 7 meals all together I've called to book a table and was told to try my luck as they were booked out. We went at 1pm and there were barely any taken tables. We ordered at the bar at 1:15 - 4 adult meals just mains and 3 kids meals, 2 beers and 2 Espresso Martinis. 35 minutes in, one kids meal came out. 15 mins later one adult meal... 50 minutes without any cocktails or other food. I went to check on the drinks and saw the bartender with a couple of shakers so I thought she must be almost done. The two Martinis that came out had ice in them, no Kahlua and looked like iced black coffee. I returned those and got 2 glasses of wine instead. 1 hour later the second kids meal came. 1 hour and 35 minutes since ordering we got the 3 adult meals and the last kids meal. No mention of "we have delays" or "we're sorry for the wait" - nothing. I felt ashamed as my friends and their children ate separately, with over an hour difference. Will I go back - sure. My kid loves the playground, but I wouldn't order anything but coffee. Owners, management and staff - do us a favor and sell the cafe to someone who cares about hospitality and service.
Had the Carnivore Pizza add chicken... Great mix of flavours, highly enjoyed my meal. Always loved brunelli's food
This place located just by the entrance of westfield mall. The place is a family friendly they have kids area outdoor. Perfect for families with kids to catch up. If you are a member you can get 15% discounts on meal, must order food and cold drink. For coffee you get seperate discounts. Beautiful coffee and food. Service is okay, when we visited it was not busy but we waited a bit for the food to be served. Food taste was beautiful well seasoned. Coffee is good. Updated 9 July 2022 The salt and pepper squid is so delicious, ordered arancini and my cousin oredered garlic prawns. I just hope they have whole day breakfast menu.
Been a few times so not a regular but each time the food has been excellent. The service has been very good even though the staff seem to all be younger. Really enjoy dining there.
My meal was not good. The fish and chips were greasy and overcooked. Most of the meals were large except one which was quite a small serve. The other meals were a better standard. We were a party of 5. The coffee was good.Food: 3/5
Travel as far as you want, you won't find better coffee or more skilled baristas anywhere. Oh, the staff are great and the food is well priced and exceptionally good. Loved it... 15/11/22 - Just had dinner here for the first time. Great food, generous portions, first class service and a lovely vibe. Give another 5 gold stars. Thanks for a lovely evening.
Coffee and sweets are good. They have good outdoor dining next to kids play area. Would love to come back to try other dishes.Food: 4/5
Finally after an hour we checked where our pizza was. They delivered a totally different item to our table and argued that we had ordered that one. Even though the price charged was for the one we ordered. Very disappointing as we use this cafe frequently. We'll rethink returning
Quite honestly the best thing about Brunelli's is the playground. Especially when you go to the counter to order and you hear. 'Yeah and what'd you want?' Now, I'm sorry but no-one wants that sort of...well can it even be called service. Older woman with glasses, you need to do better than that.
