If your going to sell barramundi learn how to make a batter to compliment the beautiful fillet. For the price of a piece of barramundi deep fried I would expect a nice light batter instead of a hard burnt batter. Batter is meant to be light and crunchy and Golden . I got dark heavy over cooked batter, and with older gentleman who served me, learn some greeting skills. Manager or owner is a grump. I have read most of the reviews on this place and people saying it's the best fish and chips, I would have to say worst fish and chips especially for a Cafe or a town right next to the beach.
Had fish and chips for 2 and was very underwhelmed. We got what looked like 2 serves of kids fish and chips. Menu said 6 fillets and it ended up as 6 fish fingers. It was over cooked and under seasoned. Doesn’t come with sauce, it costs extra on top of the $32 + a $3.20 dine in fee that wasn’t mentioned. Had higher hopes with their 4 star rating but unfortunately I recommend dining elsewhere. But their servers are friendly!
Terrible service, overpriced food even charge you to dine in. Husband complained about gravy as chips were served in a basket and when gravy poured on them it soaked through the basket. A plate would have been a better option for service. Complained about this and offered half our money back. Not happy....won't be backFood: 1/5
A place to get everything you need to get you by when staying in Broome! We found the General Store and its staff to be fantastic! Whether it’s brekky, lunch or dinner, there is a kitchen on-site, with lots of options. We had the beer battered fish and chips, and a beef burger, both of which were awesome. There is ice cream, biscuits, chips, bread, milk, cold drinks and a range of tourist keep sakes as well. Peter, you run a very well thought out store, kudos to you and all the very best!
I'm really suprised to see that this place has 4 stars. Terrible terrible service and disgusting food. Asked for a veggie breakfast and got bacon and sausages. Also, worst mango smoothie ever.. tasted literally like fish!!! I would like to see a food inspection in this place to investigate what they are doing with their food!
Mini golf was inexpensive, food is lovely. Nothing flash basic customer service from man behind counter...Some more bins for rubbish would have made it easier.
Food was nice, but we came at a bad time of year and it was just very hot. We played putt putt while we waited for our food and by the end were all sweating through our clothes. Kid-friendliness: It had putt putt and little clubs for smaller kids to play, and the store had heaps of cute knick knacks, so I'd say it's kid friendly.

Nice spot for some good tucker. Coffee is great too. Mini supermarket / convenience store as well.
