We ordered stir-fried beef with mushrooms in black pepper sauce lunch special, and the baked crumble chicken steak with fried egg, curry sauce, and cheese on rice. The baked crumble chicken steak dish was a bit too much for me, to be honest. The curry flavour was quite heavy and overpowering — it tasted good initially, but the richness became overwhelming after a few bites. Combined with the cheese and the fried egg, it was just too rich to finish. I can see how some people might love that indulgent combination, but it wasn't quite to my taste. On the other hand, the stir-fried beef with mushrooms in black pepper sauce was pretty good. The beef was tender, and the black pepper sauce had a nice savoury kick without being too aggressive. It was well-balanced and much easier to finish compared to the curry dish.nnOverall, decent food but be prepared for some quite rich, heavy flavours if you're going for the curry options.
This is a HK style cafe tucked in a quiet corner of Tunstall Mall. It was not particularly busy as I arrived but by the time I left the place it was almost full. It was a Friday lunch time.nnThe food was amazing and the serving portion was generous. The milk tea was smooth and strong but not bitter. The service was very good too. Atmosphere was good and not overly noisy as some so it is a good place to meet a friend for a chat over a meal.
My actual favourite restaurant ever. Hong Kong cafe style food served within 10 minutes or less.nnI always always get their set menu where u can pick and choose ur protein, noodle, and u get bread and egg/ham omelette and ice coffee with it $18.50 as of 6/25nnTunstall Square. Clean restaurant every time. Always super busy at lunch time full house. Walk ins casual quick meal. Nice atmosphere outside.
Classic HongKong dishes, their baked rice dishes are their specialty with lots of cheese and the meat underneath is broiled nicely. I also ordered their baked spaghetti bolognese and it was by far one of the best I’ve tried in Melbourne. Their instant noodle sets are also very delicious and they use their own home made pork broth instead of the standard Nissin powder. I also got the French toast and it wasn’t the best.
Delicious food, lots of options & quick service.
