Really lovely setting and very affordable for the amount of food. All of the dishes were well plated and interesting, one or two of them just could've done with a bit more seasoning. Our waiter was lovely and very accommodating, explaining everything in English and recommending a glass of wine for me with every course. They also had great non-alcoholic options for my partner. Would definitely recommend.
La Buvette was a lovely surprise to find in Brussels. They food was phenomenal, the staff was friendly and kind, and the location was charming. All my courses were super delicious. Our server went out of his way to help and was very tolerant of our dumb American requests. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a treat. They even accommodated a vegetarian version of all 5 courses for me.
Small but beautiful, located in an old butchery. Very interesting menu with deliciously balanced plates. Lovely to spend an evening with friends, try to get one of the ground floor tables facing the windows.
La Buvette provided a great dining experience from the venue décor to the service and food. The menu provided a wide range of different proteins, vegetables, flavours and textures. Being a set menu, it allowed the kitchen to execute each component well and it was noticed! 5 courses + amuse-bouche and mignardise, you get more than your money's worth. I'll be returning every time I visit Brussels!
Informal fine dining in a casual period setting. Tasting menus is all the rage in BXL and la Buvette does a better price/value offer than many. La Buvette is not stuffy and neither is the fresh, imaginative food with a set 5-7 course tasting menu that changes a dish or two monthly to keep it interesting. The restaurant seats about 30 covers with the bulk of the seating located in two rooms on the 1st floor. We were in a group and had the entire room to ourselves which made it special. Note that the stair is narrow and a bit steep and toilets are only accessible via the stairs.
Wonderful restaurant, great selection of wines and interesting menu. The place itself was an old butchery and the owners kept everything original, it looks stunning
Excellent! In it's range one of the better ones for me. You get a 5 course menu with a bit of everything veggie, fish and meat. Dessert was delicious btw. Very good quality/price, it goes quickly and good service. Recommended.
We had a wonderful dinner there. It’s intimate and we feel very welcome. The 5 courses are pure delice! The quality and the taste of the food are delicious. We will come back!
La Buvette offers a culinary journey through an imaginative and well executed tasting menu. Some of the dishes were really quite superb, and they had great wine options on offer too. The surroundings are cozy and pleasant.
Lovely, innovative food, gentle staff and a fun atmosphere. We had a great night, under the "Jong Keukengeweld"-option. The third wine wasn't my taste and asparagus as a dessert was something new, but I enjoyed the experience so much, I would go again!
