I have had previous experiences/procedures with Dr Buttini and found her extremely warm and empathetic. Having recently tried to connect for further advice my experience with the reception/receptionist has been extremely poor, trying to make contact was difficult 10 min waits, no answers to calls, no response to email and then the phone put down or passive aggressive answer messages that are unnecessary when I eventually got through I felt like a total inconvenience spoke to in a very rude way. Dr Buttini, please get some support people who will advocate for the great service I know you offer!
Thank you for being so patient, understanding and taking the time to make sure I felt comfortable for an examination which I had been putting off due to fear from past experiences. I appreciated Dr Melissa's thorough examination process from the interview stage to the actual examination and follow up referrals and provision of clear, helpful resources. It's clear she puts a lot of care into how she treats any patients coming through her office and has put thought into making the experience as painless as possible.
Dr. Buttini is lovely, but unfortunately the administrative assistant who answers the phones and you have to deal with before your appointment is incredibly rude and condescending. I have canceled my next appointment based solely on my experiences with the woman behind the desk. Never in my life have I encountered such blatant rudeness in this type of setting. For a practice that deals with women who might be struggling with health or fertility issues, there is no place for that kind of behaviour. Her dismissive attitude and patronising tone had me in tears after just making a Telehealth appointment! And when I called to explain why I was canceling my appointment and tried to explain to the woman how she made me feel, she had the audacity to tell me she found that offensive. Mind blown. I had my GP refer me to Eve Health and the staff is beyond kind and patient. They make you feel heard and like your health is their priority, not an inconvenience. No matter how wonderful Dr. Buttini is, I could never return to her office.
Dr Buttini is not only incredibly experienced and professional but she is friendly, easy to talk to and doesn't overwhelm you with medical mumbo. I felt comfortable as soon as I met her! Her receptionist is lovely too. So glad I found this doctor, I couldn't recommend her more :
I met this Doctor today and was rather apprehensive prior to attending the clinic. The whole atmosphere from the receptionist's welcoming smile to the doctor's relaxed manner put me at ease very quickly. Considering the type of private nature these consultations take I never felt ill at ease throughout the entire appointment. It felt like a safe, supportive and understanding environment where your issues are not brushed off as unheard or unimportant and are dealt with to your satisfaction. I would definitely recommend this doctor to other women who need this type of appointment.
I found Dr Buttini to be quite dismissive, though I think she felt she was quite cleverly disguising her attitude. Unfortunately for her, I've spent many years, in a professional capacity, discerning what people are communicating beyond their verbal cues though, at the time, I was at a loss as to what was behind her strange manner and thought her poor beside manner was just her usual MO. It was only after the appointment I found out why she was so disdainful - it seems my preference for a holistic approach to health was not to her liking. Needless to say, I'll seek my medical care elsewhere.
Exceptional doctor and amazing receptionists. Dr Buttini is very friendly, professional and caring. She identified my condition, discussed my options with me in great depth and she made sure I felt calmed and relaxed during my operation. I fully trust Dr Buttini and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great gynaecologist.
For the record my Name is Megan O’Connell I went to Dr Buttini in March for advice regarding my chronic heavy bleeding and subsequent anemia and reduced enjoyment of life. I was hopeful to discuss the possibility of an ablation however after being told my age 37 was not desirable I was dismissed and offered the pill. I explained my desperation and how I would even consider a hysterectomy to stop my currently menstrual situation. I was never examined, I did not even receive an abdominal palpation. Just told that if I wanted a hysterectomy to call and she’d leave me a referral. I recently went to another practice and received the absolute best care. I was with the doctor for 1.5hours. She was patient and incredibly thorough, asked so many questions. Examined me, performed a transvag ultrasound and endometrial biopsy. I am starting to get some answers and am so grateful I sought out a second opinion as I shudder to think where I would be in a years time if I had listened to Dr Buttini. I would recommend seeking second opinions should you not receive the care you deserve from Dr Buttini.
My experience with Dr Butttini was one I wish I could praise highly enough. I am a bit of a medical snob and have had a few odd interactions and wanted to make sure that never happened again. The good Dr listed, educated & guided me through the entire process & recovery. It's not often that you book in for a 8:00am surgery and are already under the knife by 8:01am. Thank you
Dr Buttini did my first endometriosis removal. I was young, scared and in a world of pain. She was lovely and made me feel comfortable. She was the first person that listened to me and looked at what was wrong. I highly recommend her.
