Quite expensive for what it is, but at the moment you can use Discover NSW vouchers, which makes the price more realistic. The staff are lovely and really helpful. The first Dinosaur show can be skipped, it's just a little dance party like thing, the second show is a bit better, and fun for young kids. The dinosaur walk through is a bit more fun, also a little scary for little kids though, but it's a nice walk in the shade. The butterfly house has a heap of butterflies, but it can get crowded as it's not very big. It's also very hot and humid in there. Just so you know what to expect. The mirror maze is like the ones you find at carnivals, it's a bit of fun, but can get really hot and close in there, especially when you're wearing a face mask. The wooden maze is better and has a few shaded areas. It's not an overly complicated maze, but also isn't incredibly easy, so it's worth going through. Worth a visit when in the area, but not with building a trip around.
Had a blast and definitely worth the price tag. I love that it is a small and intimate greenhouse as it meant my kids were easy to wrangle. Twins loved the dinos, son loved the maze, and I just wanted to ask questions all day about the insects. Very knowledgeable staff. Staff also seemed to be very sensory aware. Very much appreciated it.
The butterfly house is so gorgeous and the staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable. They're very friendly and you can tell they put alot of love into it It's a very sweet places for family's, solo travellers or people looking for creative inspiration. Very affordable for the variety of butterflies, Dino entertainment and information available.
Wonderful attraction for young families and those who love butterflies or dinosaurs. During school holidays we visited and the owner also helped us with providing a map to a local beach. The white peacock and array of decorations really is very appealing for all agesVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Lovely place to take your family for the morning. Butterflies galore. Fun mazes - 'Italian' maze and mirror maze! Dinosaur walk is very cool. Shows are fun but for the younger set.
Great place to visit for both adults and children. Walk through Butterfly House, a cafe for refreshments and a separate Dinosaur Park with a Dinosaur Show for the little ones on the day we visited. Popular during School Holidays.
We visited the butterfly house today with our almost 2.5yr old and what a wonderful morning we had! From the moment we arrived, staff were welcoming & helpful. Ryan gave us a good rundown of where everything was located & times of the dinosaur shows. I loved the butterfly house. There were so many butterflies & I could've sat watching them for hours. You can see the owners have put a lot of heart into the place with lots of attention to detail to try to create a magical/fantasy feel. My little one loved the fairy projections & the little fairy houses. He sat still enough for a butterfly to land on him too, which was a highlight. Other highlights of our visit were the dinosaur shows & garden. I was really impressed with how many dinosaurs they had and that many were moving. They've also done a really good job with setting them up to give a Jurassic park feel. The dinosaur shows were cute & clever - I liked the link back to the butterfly fossils. I also thought the timing was great to accommodate nap time & the pinky show was so nice for little ones. The Alice and Wonderland area was great too - the talking tree another highlight for my 2 year old. Cheryl & Christine at the cafe were not only lovely, but also make great food. The scones are made on-site & are the best I've had in a long time. I'd also recommend the roast beef & gravy roll. Overall, we had a great few hours visiting this morning & will definitely be back when we are next in Coffs Harbour. Definitely worth a stop if you've got kids or if you're young at heart!! Well done to the owners & team at the Butterfly House!!
Great to interact with the Butterflies. Even my bounce around child stood still long enough to have a butterfly land on her. The dinosaur display was more aimed at the younger children. Sadly we did not get lost in the maze and missed out on seeing what ever was in the middle. Wished the butterfly area was larger too. Bug display seemed to be empty. Not sure if it was worth the amount for how long we spent there, however the rain was on its way and we wanted to stay dry.
Good place to visit with kids, especially if they have a love of butterfly's or dinosaurs. Recommend watching the Dino show to get your moneys worth. Alice in Wonderland themed maze is worth giving a go!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
We were up in Coffs to visit family and thought we'd go to the Butterfly House, not only did we see some lovely Butterflies and an Extinction show of Dinosaurs! We then headed to their cafe for some Devonshire Tea, a great way to finish our time in Coffs Harbour. Oh, I forgot about the mirror maze and Alice in Wonderland maze.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
