Do not lose the toys from the library. We paid a hefty fine cost of the toy + a $16 'processing fee'. My husband found the toys 3 hrs after we paid this fine but they wouldn't give us a refund saying there was no way the money could be returned.
This library has potential. It has a good selection on books and a good design, except when it comes for studying. I came to the library at 2pm and there were no seats available. Half of the tables were being used by kids on there ipads with no adult in sight and volume all the way up. I finally found a seat, a couch where I was crammed in between people, I had to put my computer and book on my lap. To make things worse, a big group of parents and children came into the library. This is not bad, as there are specific places for children. Although it is bad when the children are screaming and the parents are on there phones, with no employees in sight. This was not a enjoyable visit, but I hope to come again to see what has changed.
Attending Burwood Library was quite a fun time. They have access to many devices and their rooms are spacious, including the hub! I love the way they organise events for kids, but I recommend they try to add tweens to enjoy as well. I saw some tweens feeling a bit old for the recent easter activities. It’s sometimes noisy but other than that, it’s great! ⌒⌒
I was able to start my paper work and concentrate because of the very nice ambience in Burwood Library. 5 stars as it's the best library I have ever been to. Very clean toilet and comfy lounge areas. You can have your own peaceful space. Few good things here is that they have USB ports to charge your gadgets, and you can print documents. You're gonna need a card though--not sure yet how to get it. I will definitely go back to this library. I hope they can extend until 6pm.
The burwood library was my very first time there, even though I was having a good shady relaxing time, having morning tea outside the library. The inside part was very air conditioning with people reading their books whilst I read a Marvel book for a minimum time. They were toilets upstairs and downstairs as well, which only one person could go inside downstairs. It was very satisfying that there was a fill-up water bottle, too. The best library with not a lot of chairs thought. I really enjoyed my time with a friend of mine.
