Best spot on the area for family picnic, waking track to the lookout point 45min to an hour on the hill gives you best views. Shaded areas with trees. Can see gold coast skyline in the distance. Evening and night time view is good too.
Love this place anytime of the day and year. Enjoy walking through the bushland and looking over the beautiful sea views. There are plenty of space for a picnic or just relax and chill listening to the lapping of the waves. It is one of the great spot to watch the sun going down and to take some photos.
What a beautiful rain forest - eucalypt forest with mangroves and plenty of wildlife and nature to see - I always love the walk - run / climb - so great for fitness - I travel over an hours drive just because this is such a beautiful spot! There is plenty of space to swim and frolic, play and sunbathe on the beach at the bottom, lots of shade, great for families - there is an easy walk to the top for young and old, disabled or just plain “I don’t wanna” people and then there is the harder trail - however for regular walkers / runners you can do it with a nice sweat - the views from the top are absolutely amazing. On way back down the steps are a bit of a killer lol but great workout and beautiful views - at the right time of year you can see whales too - Gods creation on full display for all here
Fabulous bush walk in the middle of the Gold Coast beaches. You wouldn’t know you were on the glamorous Goldie, feels like you’ve walked into remote bush. We now know why the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games had a koala mascot… some other walkers showed us a video of a koala they saw on the track. We didn’t see the koala but what a magical walk with fabulous views!
Beautiful area with lots of trees lots of shade, water views, and very easy to walk around. You could even push prams around. Very peaceful Perfect for short easy walks.
I recommend doing the coastal walk then the lookout , such a beautiful walk. I arrived at 730am on a Saturday morning thinking it was early but it was very busy along the beach front and it was a little hard to find a park.
Great place to walk around and get out and about, amazing view and vibe with the people, always someone to have a chat with, amazing wildlife with some spectacular views, with the rock spot where you can see out towards the ocean this national park has it all. What an amazing place. Highly recommend.
Date of visit: Sat 13 May 2023 Time : 8.45 am Time flies and things have changed. Off-road parking is no longer free and couldn’t find one free lot in the free car park, as it looks a popular place for many locals and surfers and it’s crowded. Paid parking is done by keying your car registration number, specifying the no of hours and paying it by credit card. Long ago I did the coastal walk 1 with my wife so this day I tried the rainforest circuit 3. The debut from Burleigh Heads was a bit steep with some steps but after it’s quite easy walking on well paved bitumen track and rolling terrain. 2 lookouts to enjoy the view. I ended at the Southern entrance road bridge side and doubled back. There is another free car park at the southern entrance off the Gold Coast highway. Easy walk, takes about 1 and half hours to complete the loop and enjoy the walk.
Beutiful sea beach, you can have overview Gold Coast city from here. Have walking track suitable for walking with dog.
Great walking trails, with very scenic views, and heaps of wildlife along the way that are so used to people that often they do not scurry off, they just sit there watching you walk past, it's all very special!
