Good location by the sea. Steak was overdone unfortunately. Wait staff offered me a free drink for the steak which was a good gesture. Mash and salad were good. Coffee was strong.
Our go-to beach pub when at the Gold Coast....Great meals, friendly staff and the Woolworths discount just caps off the day. Great location with a fabulous view of Burleigh heads and the beach. What more can you ask for?
While you have your pub fav’s, this chef has bent a few classics with great success. Great customer service and an atmosphere that has you admiring the beach. So, lets break it down… Atmosphere: ***** Lunch time on Wednesday – Not overly busy. Pub decor, extremely clean and spacious with abundance of tables. Both indoor and outdoor eating areas available and has a great view of Burleigh Beach. Customer Service: ***** Was greet by two very nice representatives who led us to our seats and explained the online ordering system via QR code. The system was very easy to use, payment by Credit Card or Apple Pay if you like. Once the order was in, drinks were delivered within 2 minutes and food was delivered within 5-7 minutes. Very impressed! Be careful to ensure that you are submitting your orders around the same time – orders did roll out to us as soon as they were lodged. Food: ***** Order: Pork Belly with Asian Salad Chef Special $18 – Excellently cooked and a nice contrast with the Asian salad. Thoroughly Enjoyed Salt and Pepper Calamari Entrée $15 – Excellently cook, not chewy and not over seasoned. Hit the spot Fried Chicken & Bacon Burger with Chips – Very tasty, nice sauce to match the salads and the bun was fresh and delicious Sweet Potato Chips with Aioli – a great little snack to indulge, chips were crispy, and the aioli was a nice little extra. Overall: Definitely a pub with some nice bends on your traditional pub meals, plus the traditional food we all love. Very impressed with this pub and recommend to all. Well Done BH Hotel.
I know its busy season but doesn't excuse rudeness from the staff. Girls at the front were very short with us and asking questions apparently isn't allowed. Bar stuff didn't even acknowledge me, and continued to serve males first, until 1 patron brought me to their attention. Then we got meals and my sons $15 meal was this, he could've eaten this 4 times over. So overpriced. The only one good thing was the meals were half decent. Very disappointed.
This place knows how to cook a great steak. They have a great selection to choose from. I decided to go with their chief’s signature. The surf and turf was tempting though. The location is great, the staff are friendly and you get what you pay for. It’s worth going if you’re in the area.
Food is on point and can not be faulted in any way. The service is great and always helpful. Perfect night out for dinner with family and friends.
Great birthday lunch for my brother, steak and calamari was great but definitely wouldn't pay full price for it, luckily we had a good discount. Cheese cake was really good too. Schooners were nice and cold most importantly.
The menu has completely changed and it’s value lowered. We arrived and had to find someone to seat us as they were obviously understaffed. Our food came quickly and the best thing we had were the oysters. We waited for one hour for our drinks and got them after we had finished eating. Overall, we are not coming back
We had our Xmas lunch here with staff. Great view of the beach. Reasonably priced drinks and meals. Good portions and tasted great! Very nice atmosphere! Thanks so much.
This place will be the best place in town if the managers and staff know hospitality. I was with my friends two days ago and had lunch, I realized that the white plate was not well washed, it was dirty around the edge, the carpet and the toilet also smelled. The waiters do their best, but they just don't know, for example they throw plates and sauces on the table, the manager is rude and uncommunicative. his relationship with staff and guests is not friendly. The food is relatively good, but it could be better.
