Trendy, tasty and top quality! My friends and I stumbled upon Burgster after an arvo at the beach and where pleasantly surprised by the food and service. The staff where welcoming, funny, and made sure we where happy the whole time. The cocktails where amazing and I'm kinda bummed I didn't get to try them all. All of the meals where delicious and had good quality ingredients. The crowd favourites at our table where the cheeseburger, aranchini & chicken burgers mm mmmm. A hidden treasure worth visiting!
I have been eating at Burgster for a long time, both eat-in and takeaway. While the food is good, or rather has the potential to be good, it suffers from what seems to be poor organisation in the kitchen and or front of house. This is particularly apparent when getting takeaway. My experience eating-in has been generally good. It can take longer than expected to get your food and that’s fine in a busy place, however when ordering takeaway, you’d best be prepared for a frustrating experience. I’ll share two different experiences of many at each end of the spectrum. One that took far longer than we were told and the other that was ready much earlier. We were told our order would be ready in 40 minutes and arrived to pick it up a minute or two before it should have been ready. We were told it wasn’t ready and would be another 5-10 minutes. That would have been totally fine, but after going back into the restaurant to get our food, it still wasn’t ready. Ok, so it’s going to be another 10 minutes. We go in again 10 minutes later, it’s still not ready but a staff member says he’ll bring it out when it’s done we were waiting in the car. Unfortunately after waiting another 20+ minutes we go back in to see what’s going on and there’s our order sitting there behind the bar. The staff member who said he’d bring it out had forgotten to do so! For our most recent experience, we were quoted a 25 minute wait time. We arrived a minute or two late. When I say a minute or two I really do mean a minute or two. Anyway, as we were getting out of the car they called to say our order was ready, which was odd as we were only just late and they’d never called before. When we arrived home and opened up the order, it had clearly been ready far earlier than we were told. The food was cold. The chips were undercooked, and burgers were sloppy. I want to say that Burgster at it’s best is really good, and well worth the money. However for takeaway it’s too inconsistent and when you’re paying those prices, I think consistency is the least you can ask for. I’d also like to mention I’m not posting this review to simply shred them. I really do like eating their food and have had some great burgers. But I’ve had too many experiences like the two mentioned above and hope this helps them to get there systems sorted and the times they quote over the phone at least close to reality. I’ll say it’s far better to be waiting for the food than the food waiting for you!
Great burgers. Great sides. Excellent service. Nice location and ambience. A bit off the main strip which is nice. Definitely try the sides with the burgers.
First was with my husband and it was welcoming. Food was great and ambiance was friendly so we booked a table for 4 a couple of weeks after. Very disappointed. When we arrived we told the host that we made a reservation but was told to choose between the table near the kitchen or the only available table outside with no apparent reserved plaque . No doubt the food and cocktails were great but I wished that they could be more professional in the customer services and booking department.
The food here is absolutely delicious. Everything is super fresh and just melts in your mouth. Pricing is good for the quality you receive and the atmosphere is relaxed and chill. Staff are really friendly. Would recommend to everyone looking to dig into some bangin' burgers.
Real gem this one, been twice now for their classic style burgers with fresh ingredients and super taste. The loaded cheese chips are absolutely bang on also. Can’t wait to trial the ribs next round.
Awesome burgers for our Fathers Day lunch. Highly recommend you have minimal eats prior to your arrival as you are going to want to try all of their snacks/sides. Burgster Fried Chicken, Onion Rings, Poutine Chips OMG. Super friendly service and thank you Jase for squeezing us in with less than 24 hours notice.
Huge praise for Burgster ! I ordered prawns and oysters from them for Xmas and they were the BEST EVER ! Perfectly fresh and delicious. Rob went above & beyond to make sure the order was just what I wanted. Highly recommending this local business !!
Loyal burgster customer, tried surfers paradise place today…Kids gluten free burgers were burnt to a crisp, and ice was put into my wine which was under poured but brought to the line with 3 peices of ice. I was in the toilet by the time I got back it already tasted watery. Second wine wasn’t filled up to the line. Little disappoint. Kids serving were nice enough. All good just won’t eat here again.
Excellent food. Very friendly and excellent customer service from the owners. Came a week earlier at closing and their was an issue with one the burgers. The owner was extremely polite and helpful and insisted l come back. The meal was on the house on my return and it was extremely good. Great tranquil location. Highly recommended.
