I went to work at the coffee shop there and this old Italian lady was horrible towards me. From the moment she saw me she looked down on me because I had braids in my hair and a piercing. She said that I was probably a lazy worker but never even tried to see if I knew how to work. I had no choice but to think that it was because of my skin colour. I asked the manager if he ever had any complaints about this woman but he was too much of a ‍ to answer the question honestly. Never work here.
Moved to Bupa after AXA International, I find Bupa’s platform to be much easier to navigate and much more user friendly. I can see everything I need and use the chat to get questions answered. Haven’t had to physically speak with anyone yet because the chat is so easy, used to be on the phone with AXA for ages. Very pleased with Bupa, they are definitely millennial friendly!
Worst customer service ever. Trying to cancel my policy and the only way to do it is by phone. I have been on the phone for 1 hour now and been transferred 4 times between 4 different operators. And I still haven’t succeeded to cancel it. Nightmare
I went to see a Bupa dentist and put my trust in him because they’re a well-known brand. It turned out to be the most horrifying experience where my enamel was “accidentally” damaged on 6 teeth by a doctor who had tried very hard to persuade me to let him file down my teeth which I refused multiple times. The nurse had her back turned to me during the entire appointment, I’d never seen a nurse act like that. Bupa refused to investigate the case, the reason being that their doctors are self-employed. Well, I trusted this doctor because he puts your brand under his name and I thought that meant some basic quality or at the very least safety? Clearly not.
Was with BUPA for 35 years, got into financial trouble, no help from them. Policy lapsed. Took out new policy went through a long conversation with underwriting, yes there were exclusions, fair enough. Six months into the policy, GP suggested I went to see a Cardiologist. Phoned BUPA, told that I have to be sent a medical form to my GP, fill it out, send it back, then they will consider whether to cover it. This was not mentioned in any conversation during new policy and it was not an exclusion. IT'S CARDIAC! Complaint made, no more than 4 days, 2 weeks later, letter telling me the complaint was going to be looked into. 2 weeks after this I called for an update. BUPA said, still waiting to be assigned to a call listener. Would not put policy on hold No payments given by me whilst they looked into the complaint. Disgusting behaviour, legal action needs to be taken against BUPA to put them in there place. Go to AXA ppp, much more honest and upfront. PLEASE, do not trust BUPA.
Raised my policy by £50 when I don’t even use their services!! They had the audacity to say ‘what’s the problem it’s only £4 per month!?’ I should not have to pay for other people’s healthcare! When I spoke to them, the staff was patronising, rude and smug as they just read off a script and are delighted to let customers know that they will not reduce the cost after being a loyal member for 15 years and that if you complain to the financial ombudsman they will take 8 weeks to respond!!!?!! Corruption at its best!?! #nocustomerunderstanding
Don't choose BUPA. I took out a policy six months ago. I have a pre-condition which I explained in detail and was told was covered and not excluded. Upon claim, turns out I'm not covered! They'll duck out of anything insurance companies, and BUPA's no different. At the end of the day their priorities are the shareholders, not patients.
Appalling service, when it comes time to claim they go awol! They refuse to call back and refuse to respond to emails. Extremely unprofessional, I will never use it again.
They don't employ nearly enough telephone operators resulting in extremely long phone queues.
Not the best.
