Attended this busy Bunnings - it my local and is always presented as a mess . No cash registers open- only 4 self service lines .nnI went to get a set of replacement taps , took the old box in and asked James behind the desk at the bathroom section where they may find them , shoeing him m box . He wouldn’t move out of his chair and just stared “over there “ . I went and investigated the bathroom section . No luck . I found another employee. Who just barked at me “aisle 51” . Okay went down this aisle - no luck .nnI returned to James, still hadn’t moved from his computer / seat with no customers to serve and having not served any . I again asked. “Excuse me can you show me where I can get these taps ?” James now pointed over towards a wall of various unboxed taps . I was thinking , I have the box , can you please point out the exact the one . James wouldn’t love from his desk / computer . Despite not being busy or serving any customer at any time .nnEventually , I came across employee “Steve “. A midfielder aged man with longer hair . What a champion . He immediately identified my requirements and took me to a drawer , opened it and produced the exact item . Steven was great , and apologised on behalf of James and the other unnamed employee .nnWithout Steven’s assistance there was no way I could have located my item , from behind a drawer - accessed by Steve .nnOther than Steven , this store has the customer service of a spirit airline flight . This store is a mess and clearly part of the “evil “ Bunnings aura as exposed by ABC 4 corners documentary .
I had a great experience at Bunnings Rockdale. A young man in the garden care department was very friendly, helpful, and gave me excellent advice when I asked about my lawn and weed problems. His knowledge and customer service really stood out – much appreciated!
Called the store after missing a call from them. A lady had left a voicemail informing me that an item I had ordered was out of stock and to call back to discuss. Upon calling back the lady who answered was so rude and dismissive. Not sure if she was having a bad day, but that’s not my problem. No need to be rude to customers who are following instructions.
This Bunnings is great but I have lackluster let down expectations after experiencing Bunnings Alexandria. This inadequecy can and will be fixed.
I am very disappointed with the service I received at the information desk this evening. I had to remind the staff member twice that I was waiting for assistance. Even then, she only vaguely responded on my second approach, saying she had “just asked someone,” without offering any update or support earlier on. She continued serving others while completely ignoring me, eventually saying there was no one available to help. I waited over 20 minutes with no clear communication.nnTo make matters worse, when she finally involved another staff member, he simply said, “I have no idea, just use this,” showing no willingness to assist.nnAs I was about to leave, Adam approached me and asked if I had received the help I needed. I explained the situation, and he immediately stepped in to assist. I’m grateful for his help — it made a big difference in an otherwise frustrating experience.nnWhile I understand there may have been a shortage of staff, there needs to be more initiative, communication, and accountability at the information desk. Even a simple update or acknowledgment can go a long way in improving the customer experience.
