I’m really impressed with the new Bunnings Oxley after it reopened following the floods. The store is built higher than before, spacious, bright, and better organised. The car park is large with an undercroft section, which is very convenient.nnWhat I like most is the wider product range – from gardening supplies and building materials to home décor. The outdoor nursery looks fresh and green, making it easy to pick up plants and soil. Staff are friendly, approachable, and always ready to help when I’m looking for something.nnThe café and small kids’ play area are a nice touch, giving the store a family-friendly vibe. I also appreciate the investment in proper flood-resilient systems, which makes me feel more confident during the rainy season.nnIt can get a bit crowded during peak hours, and sometimes parking is tricky, but overall this is a fantastic upgrade for the Oxley community. Definitely saves locals a trip to other suburbs for their DIY and home projects.
Three years I've been waiting for the Oxley store to reopen. Finally made it but after only six visits I've had enough. So much of the new store is fabulous, but every time I've shopped there entire aisles have been blocked off while staff move pallets around. Five attempts to buy a letter box over six weeks, five times that aisle was chock-full of pallets of fertiliser and potting mix. No matter it's only five minutes down the road, there's no point if I can't buy what I need? Even the isles that aren't fully cordoned off are often jammed with pallet jacks. I was looking to purchase some biochar on Saturday, it came as no surprise to find that aisle cordoned off. So I tried for the letterbox again, also cordoned off. So with nothing better to do I filled in time for an HOUR elsewhere in the store. Came back to check, both aisles still barricaded, some activity out in the letter box department they'd now cordoned off the two adjoins aisles! but the biochar area now had four staff in there enjoying a lovely laugh and a chat. Thought about going out to Bundamba where this has never been a problem, but then I thought, why support a company that treats its customers with such disrespect. So I went online. New letter box arrived this morning, biochar gets here tomorrow.nAnd the 2025 Award for the Retailer That Shoots Themselves in the Foot goes to..... Bunnings Oxley! Congratulations.
Was just served by Tully, who was able to answer all my questions about the tool I was enquiring about, and was able to recommend the right accessories to go with it. The whole team deserve a pat on the back, as Julie was very helpful also the last time I was there. A great team who seem very helpful, definitely recommend bunnings Oxley
Karinne who was working this evening 22/01/2026 around 6.30pm blonde older lady with pony tail and words tattooed on her forearm please be kind to customers returning goods instead of being rude hostile and on a power trip. You have a really poor attitude you’re mean and you are very unprofessional. There’s a sign that says Bunnings has an easy return policy it’s right on Your counter clearly stating that returns and exchanges are easy but you don’t seem to foster your company’s values. You wanted to be difficult and give us a hard time instead why were you behaving like that? Why have an attitude? Why not put more effort and energy in being nice instead of wasting energy on being horrible. We had bought 3 bags of cement this morning we have not opened them at all we needed leveller and not concrete we realised so we went to return them to get leveller instead. We thought we would be having a no hassle interaction with you but instead you were extremely rude to us for no reason questioning us and making us out to be in the wrong for daring to return things. You are such an unpleasant person and should really be trained better in customer service. I implore your manager to look into how to get get you intensive training on how to treat customers with Courtesy and respect. Also all the eye rolling that you did this evening to us did not go unnoticed. I hope your eyeballs got a good workout.
this very kind girl with glasses and blonde/browney hair at the hardware cafe made me the best caramel latte ever on boxing day !! 10/10 would recommend
