Not particularly impressed, the chips were nice and crunchy but everything else was pretty meh. The calamari rings were almost stale, like they'd been in the freezer for a while and the steak was really tough. I would definitely get the chips again but I'd pass on everything else we had sadly
The service here is extremely rude. Went in and they didn't have everything in the order ready they forgot half the order so we asked how long it would take to complete don't want the chips getting cold and we were told "I'm very busy!" with an angry look. Really wasn't looking for attitude, just wanted some dinner for the kids? Never going back, such a shame cause this town deserves good service and honestly if anyone had just said "sorry" at any point, I would have probably dealt with the mediocre quality of the fish and chips the order before this was inedible, went in the compost bin and was embarassing because we had people over Would not recommend, hope someone else buys the business. Thank you to the one person in the shop who was polite, I hope you find a better job away from that mess.
Beautiful fish, chips, and the dips with Turkish bread is a must try! Best salad on the side compared to most F & C shops. The bread comes out warm. A great lunch or dinner option as they offer fish & chips, burgers, kebabs and wraps. Lots on offer its purely takeaway option no where to sit and eat so call ahead at busier times so not standing around in small space. : Vegetarian options: Falafel meal was vegetarian and really nice.
I went in today just looking for a quick meal but was instead accused of stealing a drink. The owner was nice but the young fella working there not so much. I was told to empty my pockets and I did so but still wasn’t believed. The chips were nice but it didn’t make up for the fact I was falsely Accused of stealing and there was no actual evidence.
Shop assistant falsely accused kids of stealing a drink while waiting for their food. Absolutely no evidence and kids even emptied their pockets to prove it. Owner refused to retrieve cctv footage for evidence and threatened to call police when confronted over accusation. The kids chose to spend their money in this business and even waited for their food after being accused of shoplifting. Could have chosen the other take away in town. Will never enter this dirty shop again. Avoid.
We always order a potato cake each and the 1/4 POUND BEEF BURGERS HOMEMADE with the Lot, and added Beetroot! Excellent food, very well organised when you turn up to pick up as they are always busy - a good sign that the food is good!, friendly staff. So lucky to have these guys as my local Fish & Chips. We order and pay online - the system works well - good SMS communications to say order received, and the time for pick up!
Very rude service. They placed all the takeaway orders in a pile together and the customers were left to figure out whos order was whos! Just ridiculiys, and not even apologetic at all. I'll take the trip into town next time
Overall, really disappointed. Chewy rubbery potato cakes. Chips were soggy and undercooked. Burger with the lot was more like a burger with the least. The fried dim dims were… edible. The two stars are for the service, which was lovely. It’s just a shame the food was so bad. Maybe it was an off night, but I won’t be hurrying back.
Really enjoying this fish and chip shop. Great chips, good fish and nice burgers, can't complain. And they are open great hours even on Monday
No body goes to this fish shop as deza is so rude and doesn't want to serve you, the fish is cooked dry and everything is very oily when she cooks but when her partner cooks nothing is oily at all as he knows what he is doing better than her and when you ask her to repeat the order she acts dumb and says what a few times When she cooks she doesn't wash her hands after handling money and she does it on purpose to our order all the time so we can complain but doesn't do it to anyone else order
