Amazing Service, Beautiful Flowers. These guys go above and beyond!!! Been meaning to post review for a while. Finally doing it. I had an absolutely gorgeous floral display of proteas and natives delivered for my birthday, courtesy of my son in Brisbane. I still have it as a dried presentation. I would highly recommend House of Flowers. The most impressive arrangement ever received!
Posting on behalf of my pensioner mother as a follow on from Vicki's review ... On the 16th of June I ordered flowers from The House of Flowers in Bundaberg as I thought it would be better to go direct and support a local business. They were to be sent to the Bundaberg Base Hospital on the 18th of June, I explained that the building was in the hospital grounds but not attached to the main building. I was assured by the florist that she knew where to go because she delivers flowers everywhere there, many times a week. They were to be delivered by 9am which she once again assured me would be no problem. I rang the hospital at 9am but the flowers had not been delivered yet, so I rang the florist and she said she would get back to me. When she rang, she informed me that her delivery person had been to three different buildings trying to find the place to deliver to and nastily told me it wasn’t her fault. I assured her that I was not blaming her and then she yelled into the phone, AN APOLOGY WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE and slammed the phone down in my ear. There was no reason for me to apologise, I was in Brisbane, it was the House of Flowers in Bundaberg who got lost, the flowers were delivered at 10am. I am beyond disappointed with The House of Flowers business practice. I wrote a review on Google to which she replied and said that the hospital had moved the patient to three different buildings, highly unlikely given the state of the patient, let alone the other colourfull words she had to say about me 'banning' a 67 yr old lady from calling or entering her shop if was in town. On the 26 of June, I checked my bankcard statement only to find that The House of Flowers had fraudulently taken another $20.00 off my bankcard, without my knowledge, permission or a phone call from them. There was no reason to do this , I had paid for the flowers in full on the day of ordering. I have now had to contact the bank and cancel my bankcard, concerned that The House of Flowers would take more money. This was only done after i had left them a bad review. I trusted The House of Flowers with my bankcard details, as many would and they have a responsibility to protect them from dishonest people but somehow thought it could be used to line their own pockets. Have they done this to other unhappy customers? The matter has now been put into the hands of my bank where a dispute specialist will be contacting the House of Flowers carrier about taking money off my bankcard three days after the initial transaction, a very bad and poor look for any business, the next step is the Consumer of Affairs.
Ordered flowers for 9am and was assured by the florist they knew where they had to be delivered to. Rang at 10am and they had not arrived. The florist's said with a raised It's not our fault they couldn't find the building. I said, "No, I'm not blaming you. The florist's then yelled into the phone "No, not my place to apologise to you. The flowers were nice but the florist's was dysfunctional and not at all professional. I won't be ordering from House of flowers Bunderberg again.
I would give zero stars if possible as they don't deserve one. I ordered flowers for mother's day through the petals network, well in advance of the weekend - Usually if I order her flowers she calls me excitedly or sends me photos before I can call her and say happy mother's day. However, this time I had not heard from her and it was around 6pm on Sunday...I called her and she actually thought that I must have been upset at her because not only had she not received a card in the mail during the week, but I'd waited to phone her in anticipation of hearing about the $100+ flowers she should have received! I didn't send a card in the mail as usually I would choose a nice one with the flowers. So there's one sad mother and one upset son who have been let down by this florist and the petals network without so much as an SMS or email to advise any changes in delivery circumstances or otherwise. Speaking with the stressed out customer service at petals, it was obvious this has happened a lot over the weekend and after having her contact Bundaberg House of Flowers she could not even provide a definitive answer as to why they were not delivered and just rambled on vaguely about "her courier's delivery schedule" and other nonsense. She then boldly asked if I'd like them delivered today! Monday after mother's day? What, am I supposed to call her when she gets home and say "happy day after mother's day mum, hope you have a great day"??? What a joke of an organization and a failure of this local florist to get a simple job done. I strongly suggest you avoid this place, especially for any significant events such as weddings or funerals as chances are you could end up empty handed and looking foolish. Thanks guys RESPONSE: Yes, you have an arrangement with Petals? But yet you state you cannot always honor such an arrangement? This is an appalling attempt at shifting the blame to someone else and not accepting ANY responsibility for your own actions.. FYI I ordered 3 days before Mother's Day which any standard florist would have sufficient time to fulfill. I have ordered through Petals from your store in the past - prior to the no show on Mother's Day, and would have to say there wasn't a "trusting relationship" formed at all - prior deliveries all turned up after 6PM on the day, but I figured at least this was acceptable at the time. In hindsight I should have realised what a joke of a business this is and gone elsewhere. Take some responsibility for your actions - your reply to my initial review is unprofessional and makes you look even more untrustworthy!
Very disappointed. My sister and I ordered a $70.00 bunch of flowers for our mother on Monday to be delivered today by 9:30am due to work. 12:30pm still no flowers which informed our mum of a surprise tonight for her birthday. When I called, we were told that they were flat out with a wedding etc. and they would get to it asap. No apology or offer to refund the $10.00 delivery. What would of the outcome been, had I not called. I doubt my mother would of received her flowers at all. I hope they are definitely worth the $70.00 :-
