Place is easy to find and just a short walk from the tram line. I went there for breakfast and had the eggs benedict, which the hollandaise sauce was really good. I finished with a pistachio cube croissant and a long black, both very nice.nnThe space is large and welcoming, with friendly staff and plenty of seating in the morning. There are so many beautiful sweets on display, all presented so well that I wanted to try everything. I will definitely be coming back.
The coffee, cakes, pizza and other dishes never disappoint. I especially recommend the grilled barramundi- it was absolutely delicious.nWhen I had breakfast with my family last Tuesday 7/7/26, I noticed a young man working at the coffee counter with shoulder-length hair. He was frequently brushing his hair back with his hands while preparing drinks. As a friendly suggestion, it may be worth asking him to tie his hair back, just like the other staff female, to help maintain health and hygiene standards.nOverall, a great experience, as always. I’ve been a fan of Brunetti since the days of its original Lygon Street location, so moving back to Melbourne and discovering this venue was a real treat. It has quickly become my favourite Brunetti. From the outside, it’s quite understated, but step inside and you’re greeted by a spacious, light-filled interior that’s beautifully designed with various seating options shared tables, counter seatings, etc. When I introduced it to my partner, it immediately became one of his favourites too.nnWe love stopping by for a coffee and pastry. With such an incredible display of cakes, pastries, and sweet treats, it’s almost impossible to leave empty-handed. The coffee is always excellent and, most importantly, consistently good. Despite how popular it is, we’ve never had trouble finding a table. The wait is mainly when ordering food or drinks.nnWe’ve also visited in the evening after a show, and the food has been just as impressive. Every time I’m here, the place is buzzing with people and a great atmosphere. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it quiet, regardless of the time of day.nnA true Melbourne institution that never disappoints.
Brunetti Classico is definitely worth trying. Best pizza in Melbourne? Maybe!nnBut one thing’s for sure — it has one of the most authentic Italian atmospheres you can experience, especially around the vibrant Degraves Street area. Great food, lively vibes, and it really feels like a little slice of Italy in the heart of Melbourne. Grazie
Brunetti is a symbol of consistency and perfection. The coffee / food/ pastries / gelatos are all flawless and taste heavenly. The Service is quick and there’s something for you to feed on at any given time of the day. Visited after gap of 4 years and the flavours were exactly the same. Can’t wait to visit again.
