Parking sometimes an issue as it's also a park and ride carpark for the buses with being situated at the main bus transit area for the Northern beaches. Watch out for screaming kids and teenagers who tend to congregate after school and run around and ride bikes not watching where they are going and on multiple occasions I've seen very near misses with elderly pedestrians waiting for their bus
Having a mammogram is certainly not something anyone enjoys. The receptionist was nice and helpful. However… I’ve never in my life felt so uncomfortable with a woman in healthcare before. The radiographer was really unfriendly, and had zero patience. It was truly a horrible experience. 2 stars for the receptionist and the fact that it was a quick process.
Just had my first mammogram at Breastscreen NSW located in Brookvale Community Health Centre. The receptionist Ka was friendly and welcoming and the radiographer Christina was friendly, warm and caring. I’ve heard people say mammograms hurt for us smaller chested but Ka & Christina made the experience calm and relaxing and I now know that while there is some pressure for a couple of seconds it’s fine. Thanks guys for providing such a positive first experience for an important medical screening service.

This is my experience. The Adult Mental Health Unit felt to me to be the place hospitals palm you off to when they are overloaded with drug addicts, who take priority day and night, every day that ends with the letters day, and they can not assist you with issues not of your own making, such as psychiatrists prescribing medications that make you feel horrible, and your psychiatrist seems to be on a permanent variation with the odd week of work thrown in to pay for the endless vacations. It felt to me that the deal was with this place. that it's about the illusion of actual help and assistance. The staff at Brookvale came across as purposefully rude, hostile, and dismissive. it felt as though they couldn't wait to get rid of me. Zero interest in listening or offering any advice. When I asked if I could come in to speak again if I was in a bad place? which I was. No. No, you can't. I got a nice card that had a phone service everyone knows already. It's a shame the public mental health sector on the northern beaches is in this state. Very nice building. The car park cost me $50 for the very short amount of time I was there. I suggest dumping the whole charade or directing money towards organizations that care and assist, such as Lifeline.
