Love this place. Classic Aussie Chinese. Sweet and sour pork. Mongolian lamb etc. Along with the typical old school patterned carpet and glittering bar. Impeccable family style service make for a great meal. Also a range of superb wines that are not on the list. Just look at the top shelf at the bar.Food: 3/5
It's great to go on quiet/non busy days, the music and the quietness is very calming and nice with Chinese food is a great combo. The people there working are very nice, and very easy to adjust or change food to liking good vegetarian suggestions and guten free foods. I personally don't recommend going on Busy days as you know busy = longer wait and service. Love the atmosphere and friendly staff, Wa is great with the kids and staff will try their best to solve issues. Been going to this restaurant for many years, prices are a bit expensive but it's a Chinese restaurant, cheaper than most you can find. There is also a wheelchair lift which is convenient or the young girl waitress is always willing to carry you up the stairs. In conclusion, this is a great local Chinese Restaurant to spend your lunch or afternoon at by yourself or with friends and family : Kid-friendliness: Wu is great with kids and all people, he brings a nice vibe and great energy :
We had a great Chinese New Year celebration at the Brookvale Chinese Restaurant. The food was good and the service was very friendly. The restaurant is upstairs, but there is an elevator chair to get the less mobile up and down. The restaurant is very large, with a stage at one end. There's a car park just behind with a lot of parking, which males it easy to access.
Nice Yum Cha, friendly staff, dated decor, food taste good, probably the best Yum Cha on the Northern beaches however not the best I've tried. Favourites from the Yum Cha menu are the prawn dumplings and the beef tripe.Food: 4/5
Still absolutely fabulous. Has not changed in decades. Best yum cha . And happy to accept CASH as payment. Please don't change . See you again.

Cheery staff and classic '80's style fitout. The food was reasonably good but not generous. Prices around $28 for mains.
