Bring your binoculars you'll need them for a good view as your a long way from swamp. Get there before sunset as the brolgas fly overhead on way to swamp. Still enjoyed the experience without binoculars went several times. Great drive n beautiful sunsets

A very interesting spot to stop for a break. Where you can park is a great viewing location of this ancient land formation. Usually has quite a few species of birds to be seen

Just outside Malanda this lookout is even more beautiful during the wet season

Interesting and quiet location. A good example of how a crater can evolve over time into a swamp, bird habitat and dairy farm.

Great place for avid bird watchers. There is a big eagle that frequents the area and many other birds species.... Beautiful place to watch the sun rise also.

Very beautiful area which would have looked even more amazing without the cows in the crater and more rainforest trees.
